# Bar Replay: Practice Trading on Past Markets, Free | LuxAlgo

## No Peeking Past the Bar

Everything after your start bar stays hidden until the replay reaches it. Press Replay, pick the bar, and the chart rewinds to it. Playback starts at 5x: change the speed from the replay bar, pause with Space, or step forward with Shift and the right arrow. Switch timeframes mid-replay and you keep your place. It works the same on desktop and in a mobile browser.

## Trade It as It Plays

Buy and Sell sit on the replay bar, and every order fills at the replay’s price. Each replay trades an account of its own that starts at $100,000 and fills the way paper does: at the price on the candle, with no commission. Your paper accounts and your journal stay untouched.

- Buy and Sell on the replay bar. Set the size and click. The order fills at market, at the replay’s price, and the position draws on the chart.
- Stops, targets and limits. Drag a stop loss and a take profit out of the position’s line and move them as the replay runs. Place limits and stops from the chart’s right-click, at the price you click.
- A key for every move. Shift+B and Shift+S buy and sell, Shift+C closes, Shift+R reverses, and Shift with a number fires one of your own presets.

## Your Results, the Moment It Ends

When a replay you traded ends, a results card reads the session back. Net P&L and your return on the $100,000, your account against the market over the same bars, and the equity curve with its deepest fall shaded. Then win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average R, best and worst trade, time in market and streaks, with every trade listed. Copy it or save it as an image.

## Every Chart on One Clock

Replay a layout of up to 16 charts and they all move together. The finest timeframe sets the pace, and a coarser chart shows its bar when it completes, so a 1-minute and a 4-hour chart stay in step through the whole session.

## Common questions

Q: Is bar replay free?
A: Yes. Replay is on every LuxAlgo plan, Free included, with no credit card required. It needs a free account: sign in on Vela, open a chart and press Replay.

Q: Which markets can I replay?
A: The symbols you chart on Vela: stocks, ETFs, futures, crypto, forex and commodities. Trading inside a replay counts in US dollars, so for now it works on symbols priced in dollars and on dollar pairs such as EURUSD or USDJPY.

Q: Can I practice trading in replay?
A: Yes. Buy and Sell sit on the replay bar, stops and targets drag out of the position’s line, and limits and stops go on from the chart’s right-click. Each replay trades its own account from $100,000, and a results card reads the session back when it ends.

Q: Does replay work on multiple charts?
A: Yes. Every chart in the layout replays on one clock: the finest timeframe sets the pace, and a coarser chart shows its bar when it completes.
