10x Bull Vs. Bear VP Intraday Sessions
Nov 2, 2023

The 10x Bull Vs. Bear VP Intraday Sessions indicator provides a comprehensive volume profile toolkit for analyzing up to 10 user-defined session ranges simultaneously. By separating volume into bullish and bearish profiles, it offers deep insights into market participation and intraday supply/demand dynamics.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on how to configure and interpret the multi-session volume profiles. Users can define specific intraday time ranges (e.g., London Open, NYSE Open) to generate individual profiles for each period.
- Session Comparison: By enabling up to 10 different ranges, traders can compare the volume distribution of the current session against previous sessions or specific high-activity windows.
- Bull vs. Bear Analysis: Unlike standard volume profiles, this tool displays buying and selling volume separately. A green-dominant profile indicates aggressive buying, while a red-dominant profile suggests selling pressure at those price levels.
- POC & Value Area: The indicator identifies the Point of Control (POC) and Value Area (VA) for each session. Users can choose between a standard POC or individual Bull/Bear POCs to see exactly where the highest concentration of bullish and bearish activity occurred.
- Delta Ladder: When enabled, this feature provides a granular view of the volume delta at specific price points within the range, assisting in identifying exhaustion or absorption.
Details
The script utilizes high-precision calculations, supporting up to 2,000 profile rows per session to minimize data aggregation. It leverages the polyline feature for efficient rendering, ensuring that even with multiple active sessions, the chart remains performant.
The Bull vs. Bear logic calculates volume at each price level based on intrabar price action. If a candle closes higher than it opened (or based on tick data where available), that volume is attributed to the bullish profile; conversely, downward movement is attributed to the bearish profile. The Value Area is calculated based on the user-defined percentage (default 70%), highlighting the price range where the bulk of the session's trading occurred.
