The Adaptive MA Fibonacci Zones MTF indicator provides a multi-timeframe analytical framework that projects dynamic Fibonacci levels around a selected moving average to identify potential support, resistance, and trend expansion zones.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify key market structures across different timeframes. Users can utilize this tool to spot confluence between two independent higher timeframes, helping to confirm trend direction and potential reversal points.

  • Trend Identification: The indicator displays trend direction labels (UP/DOWN) for each timeframe. When the price is above the moving average, Fibonacci levels project upward to indicate potential resistance or expansion targets. Conversely, when the price is below the moving average, levels project downward to indicate potential support.
  • Multi-Timeframe Analysis: By overlaying two different timeframes (e.g., 1-hour and 4-hour) on a single chart, traders can visualize how shorter-term price action interacts with longer-term Fibonacci structures.
  • Dynamic Zones: The "Fibonacci Range (%)" setting determines the total width of the projection zone. A higher percentage will result in wider spacing between the Fibonacci levels, which is useful for volatile assets or higher timeframe trend analysis.

Details

The script functions by calculating a user-specified moving average on two different timeframes using the request.security function. Once the base moving average is established, the script determines a range based on a percentage of the moving average value.

Within this range, specific Fibonacci ratios (0, 0.236, 0.382, 0.5, 0.618, 0.786, 1.0, 1.272, and 1.618) are applied. The orientation of these levels is adaptive; if the closing price of the respective timeframe is above the moving average, the script calculates the levels as an upward projection. If the price is below, it calculates them as a downward projection. This ensures the levels are always relevant to the current trend bias.

Settings

General Settings

  • 1st Timeframe: Sets the first higher timeframe for analysis.
  • 2nd Timeframe: Sets the second higher timeframe for analysis.
  • MA Period: The lookback period used for the moving average calculation.
  • MA Type: Selects the calculation method for the moving average (EMA, SMA, WMA, SMMA, DEMA, TEMA, HMA, VWMA, ALMA, or KAMA).
  • 1st TF Color: Customizes the color of the lines and labels for the first timeframe.
  • 2nd TF Color: Customizes the color of the lines and labels for the second timeframe.
  • Fibonacci Range (%): Determines the percentage of the MA value used to define the total range for Fibonacci projections.
  • Show Fibonacci Labels: Toggles the visibility of the text labels indicating the Fibonacci ratio and price level.

FAQ

How do I interpret the Fibonacci levels? The levels act as dynamic areas of interest. The 0.382, 0.5, and 0.618 levels are often used to identify pullbacks, while the 1.0 and 1.618 levels serve as potential trend extension targets.

Can I use this for different asset classes? Yes, the "Fibonacci Range (%)" setting allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the zones to accommodate the volatility of different assets like Forex, Stocks, or Crypto.

How can I access this indicator? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
