The Pulse Entry Engine indicator provides a structured momentum-based entry visualization system designed to help traders analyze potential entry conditions with a cleaner, more visual workflow. It combines a Special K-based momentum core with signal-strength scoring, multi-mode filtering, and automated ATR-based TP/SL projections to assist in objective decision-making.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify momentum expansion and directional context. Traders can utilize the indicator to monitor signal quality through star-rated labels and visual dashboards.

Signal Modes

The script features five distinct signal modes that adjust internal strictness and thresholds:

  • Aggressive: High sensitivity for early detection; produces the most signals with higher noise risk.
  • Balanced: The default profile providing a stable middle ground for standard intraday analysis.
  • Scalping: Optimized for lower timeframes (M1–M5) with faster reaction times.
  • Swing: Selective mode requiring stronger momentum stretch; forces EMA and Zero filters for higher-quality setups.
  • Funded Account: The strictest profile designed for drawdown-conscious traders, requiring maximum internal confluence.

Visualization & Context

The tool uses a modern oscillator engine with styles like Neon Histogram and Pulse Waves to show momentum expansion. It provides a Higher Timeframe (HTF) Bias Filter to ensure entries align with macro trends. Once a signal is confirmed, the script projects ATR-based TP/SL boxes and colors candles during active trades to maintain visual focus on the current setup.

Details

The Pulse Entry Engine calculates a Special K-based momentum value and compares it to a signal line to determine the "Distance Ratio." This ratio identifies whether market momentum is Weak, Normal, Strong, or Extreme compared to recent historical behavior.

The signal scoring system (0–100) aggregates data from engine direction, stretch strength, and filter alignment. This score is translated into a star-based quality system on the main chart (e.g., 5 stars for a score of 96–100). The TP/SL projection system tracks trade progress through three TP levels, and a "Signal Gate" logic prevents redundant signals until the first target (TP1) is met or the trade is invalidated.

Settings

Signal Logic

  • Source: Defines the price input (Close, HL2, etc.) for the engine.
  • Signal Mode: Sets the filter strictness (Aggressive to Funded Account).
  • Signal Confirmation Mode: Toggles between "Bar Close" (stable) and "Live Intrabar" (faster feedback).
  • Distance Multiplier: Adjusts the threshold for momentum stretch detection.
  • Use Zero Filter: Restricts long signals to below zero and short signals to above zero.

Filters & HTF

  • Use EMA Filter: Filters signals based on price location relative to an EMA.
  • HTF Bias Mode: Selects the macro filter (EMA 100, EMA 200, or HTF Engine).
  • HTF Timeframe: Sets the period for higher-timeframe calculations.

Style & Display

  • Visual Theme: Switch between Dark Emerald, Aqua Neon, and Royal Purple.
  • Display Mode: Toggles between Minimal, Pro, and Full visual density.
  • Oscillator Visual Mode: Selects the style (Histogram, Pulse Wave, Line, or Classic).
  • Signal Candle Background: Highlights the specific entry candle with a vertical stripe.

TP/SL Box System

  • SL ATR Multiplier: Sets the stop-loss distance based on ATR.
  • Final TP Risk Reward: Defines the final target (e.g., 1.5R, 2R).
  • Initial Box Length: Controls the initial horizontal extension of the TP/SL visuals.

FAQ

How do I interpret the star ratings on the labels? The stars represent the internal confluence score: 5 stars indicate a high-strength score (96–100), while fewer stars represent lower internal confidence based on the script's scoring model.

Why are new signals not appearing while a trade is active? The script uses an "Active Trade Signal Gate" to reduce chart clutter. It blocks new signals until the current projection reaches at least TP1 or hits the Stop Loss.
