# Christmas Toolkit

Christmas Toolkit is an indicator on [Vela](https://vela.luxalgo.com/chart), our next-generation charting platform, written in Pine Script®.

A fully decorated Christmas tree on your chart whose seven ornaments score real conditions (RSI, Stochastic, and EMA position and slope) from very bullish lime to very bearish dark red. The star sums everything into one aggregate sentiment verdict, with fallen stars marking major flips. Festive on the surface, a genuine composite gauge underneath.

**Christmas Toolkit** dresses your chart as a full Christmas tree (garland, drifting snowflakes, a reindeer walking back and forth across the chart) and makes every ornament earn its keep. Seven baubles each track a real reading: RSI, Stochastic, price against the EMA 20, and the slopes of the EMA 20, 50, 100, and 200, coloring from lime to dark red as conditions swing from very bullish to very bearish. In the spirit of the library's [composite tools](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/family/meta-composition/), the star on top adds the points into one aggregate verdict.

## How to Trade the Christmas Toolkit?

- **Ornament colors**: lime is very bullish (+2), green bullish (+1), blue neutral, red bearish (−1), dark red very bearish (−2); RSI and Stochastic score +2 below 20, +1 from 20 to 30, −1 from 30 to 45, neutral from 45 to 55, +1 from 55 to 70, −1 from 70 to 80 and −2 above 80, and the EMA checks score on position and slope.
- **The star**: more than 6 points glows lime, 6 exactly is green, −6 is red, below −6 turns dark red: the whole tree's opinion in one ornament.
- **Fallen stars and Last Switch**: each change of the star's verdict to a non-neutral reading drops a fallen star along the bottom of the chart on that bar, and Last Switch tracks the latest decisive change between the green and red camps, ignoring neutral phases.

A legend beside the tree names each condition in its current color, so the novelty never hides what drives the star. Everything else (swaying needles, the reindeer's progress) is pure holiday atmosphere.

## Christmas Toolkit Settings

- **Width** / **Offset**: width of the tree and its horizontal placement.
- **Garland Rotations**: rotation count, which shapes the garland's style.
- **Tree Color**: color of the tree's needles.
- **Static Tree**: keep the needles still, or let them sway with each chart tick.
- **Deer Speed** (1 to 10): how many bars the reindeer steps per chart update as it walks back and forth across the visible range.

### Is the Christmas Toolkit a serious indicator?

The presentation is seasonal; the readings are not. The scoring runs on genuine RSI, Stochastic, and EMA conditions, so the star amounts to a legitimate composite sentiment gauge, one that happens to wear tinsel.

### What counts as a major sentiment change?

A shift into or out of the strong readings (the green/lime and red/dark-red camps), with neutral blue phases ignored. Each change to a non-neutral verdict prints a fallen star along the bottom of the chart on that bar and updates the Last Switch label.
