# CISD Projections

Mechanical price targets projected after a confirmed change in state of delivery: the indicator measures the manipulation leg behind the reversal and anchors Fibonacci expansions at 1, 2, 2.5, 4, and 4.5 to it. Range and leg-size filters plus CHoCH invalidation keep only quality setups on the chart. For traders who want objective, repeatable take-profit levels.

**CISD Projections** turns a confirmed [change in state of delivery](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/change-in-state-of-delivery/) into mechanical price targets. Once the reversal validates, the indicator measures the manipulation leg (the swing that produced the shift) and anchors extended Fibonacci expansions at 1, 2, 2.5, 4, and 4.5 to it, mapping where price is statistically most likely to expand. Optional filters retire projections the moment a [change of character](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/change-of-character/) closes back through the leg, keeping stale targets off the chart.

## How to Trade the CISD Projections?

- **Average manipulation legs**: expansions commonly resolve around the 2–2.5 projections, the workhorse take-profit zone.
- **Momentum-driven legs**: when volatility is expanding, price can carry toward the 4–4.5 levels.
- **Exceptionally large legs**: favor the conservative 1 projection instead of stretching for distant targets.
- **Bars Threshold and range filtering**: demand a minimum leg size, or accept only CISDs printing near the extremes of the recent range, to concentrate on higher-quality setups.

The projections are measured, not predicted: they encode how price has historically expanded after manipulation and reversal. Read against context (volatility, the leg's size versus its predecessors, how price reacts at each level), they become scaling-out and expectation tools rather than blind targets.

## CISD Projections Settings

- **Bars Threshold**: minimum number of bars for a valid manipulation leg.
- **CISD Filter**: restricts setups to CISDs near the top or bottom of the range over the last X bars.
- **Invalidate CISDs on CHoCH**: stops projection extension after the first close beyond the manipulation leg.
- **Projections**: enable individual levels, select which expansion ratios display, and style each line.
- **Style**: CISD level display, label size, bullish and bearish colors, and the background fill toward the furthest level.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Should I always target the furthest projection?

No. Level selection is contextual. Judge each setup by the manipulation leg's size and the volatility regime: ordinary legs favor the middle projections, while unusually large ones argue for the conservative 1.

### Is there a higher-timeframe version?

Yes. [HTF CISD Projections](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/indicator/htf-cisd-projections/) applies the same projection framework to higher-timeframe delivery. Running the two together frames intraday setups inside larger structure.

### How do I start using CISD Projections?

It is free on the LuxAlgo Library. Open it from this page. Quant, our coding agent, can also load the indicator from here, letting you explore the projection levels on your own markets immediately. You can also copy the source code from this page and run it anywhere Pine Script® runs.
