# EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones

EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones is an indicator on [Vela](https://vela.luxalgo.com/chart), our next-generation charting platform, written in Pine Script®.

EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones detects equal highs and equal lows from confirmed pivots and extends them as zones until price sweeps them. Nearby zones merge into clusters such as 2x EQH with summed pivot volume, ranking where stops are likely stacked. For liquidity-focused traders who want sweep targets mapped objectively.

**EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones** detects [equal highs and equal lows](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/equal-highs-lows-as-liquidity/) automatically and extends each one as a zone until price sweeps it. Repeated highs or lows near the same price tend to stack stops just beyond the level (a [liquidity pool](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/liquidity-pool/) the market may later reach for), and this build maps those areas objectively: confirmed pivots are compared under a percentage threshold, qualifying pairs become zones, and neighboring zones merge into clusters like 2x EQH with their pivot volume summed.

## How to Trade the EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones?

- **EQH zones overhead**: upside liquidity targets, likely magnets when price pushes through resistance.
- **EQL zones below**: the downside equivalents, marking where sell-stops are likely resting.
- **Sweep followed by rejection**: liquidity taken and price snapping back is the classic stop-run read that can precede a turn.
- **Dense clusters**: merged zones with heavy summed pivot volume rank as the more significant pools, worth prioritizing over isolated singles.

A sweep is only registered once price trades through the zone's far edge: above an EQH's highest point or below an EQL's lowest. Swept zones can be removed instantly or kept in a faded style, which turns the tool into a review aid for studying how price behaved after liquidity was taken.

## EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones Settings

- **Pivot Left/Right Length**: bars required on each side to confirm a structural pivot.
- **Equality Threshold (%)**: the maximum percentage difference between pivots that still counts as equal. Looser values catch more realistic formations, tighter values demand near-perfect alignment.
- **Max Active Zones**: how many unswept zones are tracked simultaneously; raise it on busy lower timeframes.
- **Show Midline / Show Volume / Delete on Sweep**: the dashed midpoint line, pivot-volume display, and sweep cleanup behavior; zone colors and transparency complete the style block.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Why is volume shown on the zones?

The script attaches the volume traded at the pivots that created each zone. A level built on strong participation carries more weight than one formed on light activity, so the numbers help you rank which pools matter.

### How does this relate to Buyside & Sellside Liquidity?

[Buyside & Sellside Liquidity](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/indicator/buyside-sellside-liquidity/) maps resting liquidity in broader terms, while this build specializes in the equal-high/equal-low pattern, adding clustering, pivot volume, and sweep tracking around that one formation.

### How do I start using EQH/EQL Liquidity Zones?

The indicator is free, and you can spin it up in Quant, our coding agent, from this very page. You can also copy the source code from this page and run it anywhere Pine Script® runs.
