# ICT Silver Bullet

ICT Silver Bullet is an indicator on [Vela](https://vela.luxalgo.com/chart), our next-generation charting platform, written in Pine Script®.

Frames the three ICT Silver Bullet hours (London Open 3-4 AM, AM session 10-11 AM and PM session 2-3 PM New York time) and tracks the fair value gaps forming inside each. Four display modes from permissive to ICT's favored super-strict, plus projected support and resistance targets after every session, serve intraday traders on sub-15-minute charts.

**ICT Silver Bullet** puts the [Silver Bullet](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/silver-bullet/) hour on the chart: three one-hour windows in New York time, namely London Open (3–4 AM), the AM session (10–11 AM) and the PM session (2–3 PM), during which a [fair value gap (FVG)](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/fair-value-gap/) can set up the trade. When a window closes, the indicator projects potential support and resistance lines from what formed inside it, while a Minimum Trade Framework (mTFW) gauges expectations (40 ticks on futures and indices, 15 pips on forex pairs) rather than dictating entries and exits.

## How to Trade the ICT Silver Bullet?

- **Bullish setup**: an FVG identified and tested inside the window can precede a move higher targeting liquidity.
- **Bearish setup**: the mirror case. A tested bearish FVG within the hour frames shorts toward downside objectives.
- **Post-session S/R lines**: projected levels stay predictive until price touches them; in strict modes, only lines matching the trend direction are shown.
- **Untested gaps vanish**: an FVG left untested when its session ends is removed from display, enforcing setup quality automatically.

Best results come below the 15-minute timeframe, with the 3-minute chart a popular choice.

## ICT Silver Bullet Settings

- **Swing settings**: a single pivot length (default 5) that builds the ZigZag behind the trend-direction read.
- **FVG display mode**: from **All FVG** through trend-aligned filtering to **Strict** and **Super-Strict**, ICT's favored mode, requiring no break against the gap plus specific closing conditions.
- **Support/Resistance targets**: base projected lines on any previous session or only on the prior session of the same type, with color options.
- **Keep lines**: a strict-mode option that preserves older S/R lines when a new session begins.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Which timeframes suit the ICT Silver Bullet?
Charts below 15 minutes, with the 3-minute chart a favorite. The windows are fixed clock hours, so lower timeframes simply resolve the gap formations inside them more precisely.

### How does it compare with the ICT Unicorn Model?
Both are ICT entry models built around fair value gaps, but they filter differently: the Silver Bullet qualifies setups by the clock, while the [ICT Unicorn Model](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/indicator/ict-unicorn-model/) qualifies them by structure, demanding overlap with a breaker block. Running both narrows focus to time-and-structure confluence.

### How do I access the ICT Silver Bullet indicator?
The build is free on the LuxAlgo Library, and from this page you can send it into Quant, our coding agent, to study how past windows played out. You can also copy the source code from this page and run it anywhere Pine Script® runs.
