# Session Levels Predictor

The Session Levels Predictor projects up to three expected highs and three expected lows the moment your defined session opens, derived from percentile statistics of past session extremes, with hit-rate percentages reporting how often each level has been reached. Empirical anchors for targets and stops - for session traders who plan the trade before the move.

**Session Levels Predictor** projects, right at the session open, how far price has typically stretched before the session ends. It records the distance between each past session's extremes and its opening price, then applies nearest-rank percentiles to that sample - the working method behind [statistics of session highs and lows](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/concept/session-high-low-statistics/) - so up to three upper and three lower levels print the moment your session begins, each carrying a hit-rate percentage showing how often past sessions reached it.

## How to Trade the Session Levels Predictor?

- **Targets and stops with base rates**: the projected extremes give take-profit and stop-loss placement an empirical reference instead of a guess - the hit rate tells you how ambitious each level is.
- **Percentile controls distance**: each level pair has its own percentile; the closer it sits to 100, the farther that level plots from the session open.
- **Levels outlive the session**: projections can persist past the close and serve as support or resistance references for subsequent sessions.

## Session Levels Predictor Settings

- **Session**: the window to analyze, aware of your local timezone.
- **Percentile (Levels 1-3)**: sets each projection's distance - higher percentiles push levels farther out.
- **Max Population**: the sample size the percentiles are computed over.
- **Extend Middle Line**: prolongs the blue middle line into subsequent sessions (off by default).

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How are the projected levels calculated?
From the recorded distances between past session extremes and opens, using a nearest-rank percentile. A 75th-percentile level, for example, marks the distance that contained three quarters of the sampled sessions' extremes.

### What does the hit rate actually measure?
The share of past sessions in which that level was reached. It works as an accuracy readout per projection: high-hit-rate levels are conservative expectations, low-hit-rate levels are stretch scenarios.

### Where can I get the Session Levels Predictor?
It is free for every LuxAlgo Library visitor and can be run in Quant, our coding agent, from this page. Pair it with [Sessions](https://www.luxalgo.com/library/indicator/sessions/) if you also want the session ranges themselves drawn on the chart. You can also copy the source code from this page and run it anywhere Pine Script® runs.
