The MOST + Moving Average Screener indicator provides a multi-asset dashboard for tracking trend reversals across 20 user-defined symbols using three distinct signal logics. This tool allows traders to monitor the Moving Stop Loss (MOST) system or customized moving average crossovers across various timeframes simultaneously.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to monitor market trends. Users can select up to 20 different tickers (crypto, stocks, forex, etc.) and assign specific timeframes to each. The screener panel displays the ticker name, the current trend direction (Green for bullish, Red for bearish), and a counter indicating how many bars have passed since the last signal.

The indicator offers three primary interpretation modes:

  • MOST Logic (Default): Monitors the crossover between a selected Moving Average and the MOST trailing stop line. A Buy signal triggers when the Moving Average crosses above the MOST line.
  • Price Flip Mode: Activated via the "Activate Moving Average Screening Mode" setting. This ignores the MOST line and tracks crossovers between the price (Close) and the selected Moving Average.
  • Color Change Mode: Activated by enabling both "Screening Mode" and "Color Change Screening Mode." This tracks the slope of the Moving Average; a Buy signal occurs when the MA value becomes greater than the previous bar.

Details

The script incorporates 11 different Moving Average types to calculate the trend:

  • Standard: SMA, EMA, WMA, TMA.
  • Adaptive/Advanced: VAR (VIDYA), WWMA (Welles Wilder), ZLEMA (Zero Lag), TSF (True Strength Force), Hull MA, and Tillson T3.
  • MOST Mechanism: The Moving Stop Loss (MOST) calculates a trailing stop based on a percentage offset from the selected Moving Average. When the Moving Average crosses this stop level, the trend direction flips, and the stop level is recalculated for the new direction.

The screener utilizes the request.security function to fetch data for the 20 symbols. Users should ensure they are not exceeding platform limits for security calls when using multiple instances.
