ICT HTF Candles (fadi)
Nov 14, 2023

The ICT HTF Candles (fadi) indicator visualizes higher timeframe price action directly on the current chart to streamline multi-timeframe analysis without switching views.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to monitor price development and ICT-based market structures. Traders typically use this tool to identify Higher Timeframe (HTF) trends or breaks of structure while staying on a lower timeframe for precise entries.
By configuring the HTF settings, you can display up to six different timeframes simultaneously. The indicator plots these as secondary candles to the right of the current price action. This allows you to observe how HTF Fair Value Gaps (FVG) and Volume Imbalances are being tested or formed in real-time.
Key interpretation points include:
- Contextual Entries: Wait for an HTF candle close or structure shift before executing trades on the lower timeframe.
- Imbalance Identification: Visualize where HTF liquidity gaps exist, which often act as magnets or support/resistance zones.
- Trace Lines: Use the extended OHLC lines to see exactly where historical HTF price levels align with current lower timeframe movement.
Details
The script functions by requesting data from specified higher timeframes and projecting that information onto a set of custom-drawn boxes and lines.
- Candle Construction: Each HTF candle is built using the Open, High, Low, and Close of the selected period.
- Imbalances: Fair Value Gaps are identified when there is a lack of price overlap between the wicks of three consecutive HTF candles. Volume Imbalances are identified when there is a gap between the close of one candle and the open of the next.
- Custom Daily Open: The script includes a feature for ICT traders to define a custom daily start time (e.g., Midnight, 8:30, or 9:30 AM) to align with specific "killzones" or trading sessions.
- Dynamic Labels: The script can display the remaining time for the current HTF candle to close, helping traders anticipate volatility.

FAQ
How do I adjust the position of the HTF candles? You can modify the "padding from current candles" and "space between Higher Timeframes" in the Styling group to move the candles further right or change their vertical distribution.
Can I see FVGs for multiple timeframes at once? Yes, if multiple HTFs are enabled and the "Fair Value Gap" setting is checked, the indicator will plot gaps for each active timeframe.
