Usage

The Usage section describes how to utilize the AlphaX ANCHOR system for trend following and entry precision. The system operates on a four-layer band architecture that trails price in the direction of the trend.

  • Trend Identification: The system determines the primary trend based on price action relative to the outer "Anchor" band (Band 4). A close beyond this band triggers a trend flip, marked by ▲ ANCHOR BULL or ▼ ANCHOR labels.
  • Pullback Entries: Traders can monitor the gradient heatmap to visualize pullback depth. Signals (Triangles) fire when price retests the outer Band 4 within a high-confluence environment.
  • Volume Context: The delta-weighted volume profile resets with every trend flip. Use the Point of Control (POC), Value Area High/Low (VAH/VAL), and High Volume Nodes (HVNs) as magnets for price or as areas of structural support and resistance.
  • Adaptive Scaling: The bands automatically tighten during "Squeeze" phases (Bollinger Bands inside Keltner Channels) and expand during high-volatility expansions to prevent premature exits or excessive drawdown.

AlphaX ANCHOR integrates structural price action with volumetric data through several proprietary mechanisms:

  • Four-Band Architecture: Uses a base ATR multiplier (Band 1) with incremental offsets for Bands 2, 3, and 4. This creates a tiered risk management framework where Band 4 represents the ultimate structural trend invalidation.
  • Delta-Weighted Profile: Unlike standard profiles, this anchors to the start of the current trend segment. It weights volume based on directional candle bias, highlighting where committed institutional buyers or sellers are active.
  • 6-Layer Confluence Engine: Entries are filtered through six independent checks: Anchor Trend Direction, Higher Timeframe (HTF) Bias (21/55 EMA alignment), ADX Trend Strength, Volume Delta, Premium/Discount (P/D) positioning, and HVN Confluence.
  • Trend Equilibrium: Calculated as the midpoint of the current trend segment's high-low range. This ensures that long entries occur in "Discount" zones and short entries occur in "Premium" zones.

Anchor Trail Engine

  • ATR Length: Sets the lookback for ATR calculations used in band offsets.
  • Band Offset (Base): Determines the ATR multiplier for the innermost band (Band 1).
  • Adaptive Band Scaling: Toggles the automatic adjustment of band width based on volatility percentiles and squeeze conditions.

Volume Profile

  • Profile Rows: Determines the granularity of the price bins in the volume profile.
  • Delta-Weighted Volume: Adjusts volume contribution based on the candle's close relative to its range.
  • Value Area %: Sets the percentage of volume used to define the VAH and VAL (typically 70%).

Confluence & Entries

  • HTF Trend Filter: Enables a higher timeframe EMA and price alignment check.
  • ADX Minimum: The threshold required to confirm a trending market before signals fire.
  • Require PD Zone: Restricts long signals to the lower half and short signals to the upper half of the trend range.
  • Min Layers (of 6): Specifies the minimum number of confluence factors required for an entry signal.

Exit Guidance

  • SL Anchor Band: Selects which of the four bands serves as the visual stop-loss guide.
  • TP Target Mode: Choose between POC Target (volume magnet), Opposite Band (trend extreme), or ATR Multiple.

FAQ

How do I interpret the heatmap? The heatmap fills the space between the four trailing bands with gradient colors. Deepening opacity toward Band 4 indicates a deeper pullback into the "danger zone," suggesting price is approaching structural invalidation.

What is the significance of an HVN confluence? High Volume Nodes (HVNs) represent price levels with high historical transaction volume. When an entry signal fires near an HVN, it suggests that structural price support (Band 4) aligns with institutional volume interest, increasing the probability of a successful reversal.
