The Precision Entry Signals (RSI + MA12 Logic) indicator provides automated entry signals and risk management levels based on the confluence of moving average breakouts and RSI momentum.

Usage

The indicator identifies potential trade entries by combining trend and momentum filters. A long signal is generated when a candle opens below the 12-period SMA and closes above it, provided the RSI is crossing over its VWMA and the previous candle was bearish. Conversely, a short signal appears when a candle opens above the 12-period SMA and closes below it, accompanied by an RSI crossunder of its VWMA and a previous bullish candle.

Upon signal confirmation, the tool automatically plots:

  • Entry Line: Set at the closing price of the signal candle.
  • Stop Loss (SL): Positioned at the recent low (for longs) or high (for shorts).
  • Take Profit 1 (TP1): Calculated at a 1:1 risk-to-reward ratio.
  • Take Profit 2 (TP2): Calculated at a 2:1 risk-to-reward ratio.

These visual guides persist until the price hits either the stop loss or the final take-profit target.

Details

The script utilizes a 12-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) to detect immediate price breakouts and a 200-period SMA to help traders identify the broader trend context. The momentum component uses a standard 14-period RSI filtered by a 20-period Volume-Weighted Moving Average (VWMA). By requiring the RSI to cross its VWMA, the script ensures that entry signals are backed by a shift in volume-weighted momentum.
