The MTF Dashboard 9 Timeframes + Signals indicator creates a comprehensive multi-timeframe analysis system that synthesizes market conditions across 9 different intervals into actionable confluence scores. By combining trend analysis, momentum, volatility, and volume into a unified dashboard, it allows traders to instantly assess overall market bias with statistical confidence.

Usage

The Usage section allows for real-time monitoring of trend alignment across multiple timeframes without manual chart switching.

  • Market Bias Analysis: Users can observe the overall directional bias (Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral) and the conviction percentage calculated from active timeframes.
  • Confluence Ratings: The star rating system (1-5 stars) provides a visual representation of signal strength, where 5 stars indicate maximum agreement between all internal indicators.
  • Signal Interpretation:
    • Strong Bullish (⬆⬆): High-conviction upward momentum with a score ≥ 2.
    • Strong Bearish (⬇⬇): High-conviction downward momentum with a score ≤ -2.
    • Neutral (➡): Conflicting signals or flat market conditions.
  • Entry Strategy: A common application is looking for high confluence (4-5 stars) on the trading timeframe while ensuring alignment with higher timeframes to validate the trend.

Details

The script operates through a mathematical confluence algorithm that processes data from several key technical components:

  • Trend: Based on Fast (9) and Slow (21) EMA crossovers.
  • Momentum: Analyzes RSI levels relative to overbought (70) and oversold (30) zones.
  • Volatility: Uses MACD histogram strength and signal line positioning.
  • Volume: Compares current volume against a 20-period moving average to identify high-interest areas.
  • SuperTrend & SMA: Integrated overlays provide additional visual confirmation on the chart and dashboard.

The tool uses request.security() calls to fetch data from intervals ranging from 1 minute to 1 month. This ensures that calculations for the weekly timeframe, for example, are performed using weekly data rather than approximating from the current chart's bars.

FAQ

How do I interpret the overall bias percentage? The bias percentage represents the conviction level based on the ratio of bullish vs. bearish signals across all your active timeframes. A higher percentage indicates stronger harmony in the market direction.

Can I use this for scalping and swing trading? Yes. For scalping, you should focus on the alignment of lower timeframes (1m-30m). For swing trading, prioritize the 1H, 4H, and Daily timeframes to ensure you are trading with the primary trend.
