The Pivot Points [KrisWaters] vX by DGT indicator is a comprehensive multi-tool designed to provide technical analysis across multiple timeframes, featuring various pivot point calculations and integrated oscillators. It serves as an all-in-one workstation for traders who rely on structural support/resistance and technical momentum.

Usage

The tool functions by calculating and displaying pivot points based on Higher Timeframe (HTF) data. Users can choose from several calculation methods to suit their strategy:

  • Pivot Methods: Includes Camarilla, DeMark, Fibonacci, Floor, Swing, Woodie, and Previous HTF High/Low.
  • Central Pivot Range (CPR): Provides a central range display to identify the core value area of a given period.
  • Visual Extensions: Pivot lines can be extended across the chart for better historical context.
  • Technical Panel: A statistics panel and technical meter provide a summary of current market conditions, including ADX/DMI for trend strength and Price/MA volatility.
  • Add-on Integrations: The script can overlay Ichimoku Clouds, Bollinger Bands, and Logistic EMA (LEMA) directly on the price action.
  • Lower Oscillators: Integrated RSI, Stochastic, and MACD components are included to confirm momentum without cluttering the main chart with multiple separate indicators.

Details

The script uses an automated HTF selection method by default, which scales the reference timeframe based on the current chart (e.g., Daily pivots on a 1-hour chart). It implements a Logistic EMA (LEMA), which uses price change ratios to weight the moving average calculation differently than a standard EMA. The "Volume Weighted Colored Bars" feature uses a standard deviation of volume to highlight high-activity periods with specific bar coloring, helping to identify institutional interest or exhaustion.
