The Moving Average Channel and Elliott of BiznesFilosof indicator provides a multi-timeframe trend analysis tool by projecting three distinct waves (short, medium, and long-term) to identify market momentum and potential overbought or oversold conditions. It simplifies trend identification by using color-coded moving averages based on price action relative to high and low volatility channels.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to interpret market trends and find entry points. Users can observe the interaction between the price and the three moving average waves to gauge trend strength across different time horizons.

  • Trend Identification: The color of each wave changes dynamically. A green wave indicates a bullish trend where the price is trading above the high-channel average. A red wave indicates a bearish trend where the price is trading below the low-channel average. A blue wave represents a neutral or consolidating state.
  • Overbought/Oversold Signals: By enabling the Bollinger Band and "Corridor MAC" features, users can visualize extreme price deviations. When the price reaches the outer boundaries of these channels, it may signal an exhausted trend.
  • Multi-Wave Alignment: Strategic entries can be found when all three waves (Daily, Weekly, Monthly equivalents) align in the same color, indicating strong trend confluence.

Details

The script is an evolution of the "MAC of BiznesFilosof" and operates on the principle that asset value (represented by moving averages) moves more slowly than the market price. It calculates three sets of moving averages based on user-defined lengths (defaulting to 21, 105, and 630).

For each length, the script calculates:

  1. A central moving average based on the Close price.
  2. A high-channel average based on High prices.
  3. A low-channel average based on Low prices.

The color-switching logic depends on whether the current price breaks above the high-channel (Bullish) or falls below the low-channel (Bearish). The inclusion of standard deviation-based bands (Bollinger Bands) provides additional context for volatility and mean reversion strategies.

Settings

  • MA1/MA2/MA3 Length: Adjusts the period for the short, medium, and long-term waves respectively.
  • Exponential: Toggles between Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) for faster response or Simple Moving Averages (SMA) for smoother filtering.
  • Mult: Controls the multiplier for the standard deviation bands (Bollinger Bands).
  • Show 'BUY' and 'SELL' Letters?: Displays visual labels on the chart when the price touches the outermost volatility bands.
  • Corridor MAC: Enables the visibility of the high and low moving average boundaries that determine wave color.
  • Show Bollinger Band?: Toggles the visibility of the volatility envelope based on the longest MA period.

FAQ

How do I interpret the colors of the waves?
Green indicates the price is above the high-channel average (bullish), red indicates the price is below the low-channel average (bearish), and blue indicates the price is trapped within the high-low corridor (neutral).

Can this indicator be used for scalping or long-term investing?
Yes, the indicator is versatile. By adjusting the three MA lengths, you can tune the waves to capture intraday fluctuations or long-term secular trends.
