The ICT Killzones + Macros indicator provides a comprehensive visualization of key market sessions, internal macros, and critical price levels based on Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concepts. It enables traders to identify optimal trading windows and institutional timing by highlighting session ranges and automated liquidity levels directly on the chart.

Usage

The indicator is used to identify session transitions and specific "killzones" where market volatility typically increases. It tracks several distinct periods throughout the trading day:

  • Session Visualization: Highlights the Asia, London, NY AM, NY Lunch, and NY PM sessions with customizable markers and high/low levels.
  • Macro Timing: Automatically plots the 9:45 AM - 10:15 AM and 10:45 AM - 11:15 AM macros using bracket-style markers, helping traders spot high-probability algorithm-driven movements.
  • Level Liquidity: Session highs and lows are extended into the future as potential liquidity targets. Users can choose to hide these levels once mitigated or keep them visible for historical reference.
  • Opening Prices: Includes the True Day Open (6 PM EST) and Midnight Open price levels, which are often used as bias filters in ICT strategies.

Details

The script operates using the "America/New_York" (EST/EDT) timezone by default to ensure alignment with ICT methodology. It utilizes advanced bar-index tracking to draw levels precisely from the start of each session. A smart timeframe filter is included to automatically hide drawings on higher timeframes (e.g., 30m or 1h), preventing chart clutter when viewing long-term trends. The tool also includes a "Lookback Period" setting to manage performance by limiting the number of historical calculations.

Settings

General Settings

  • Timeframe Limit: Prevents the indicator from rendering on timeframes equal to or higher than the selected value.
  • Lookback Period: Determines how far back historical sessions and levels are calculated (1 Day to Max).

Visual & Label Settings

  • Level Lines Color: Sets the color for all session high and low lines.
  • Show Labels: Toggles the visibility of session price labels.
  • Combine overlapping level labels: When multiple levels (e.g., London High and Previous Week High) are at the same price, this merges them into a single label to improve clarity.
  • Show Mitigated Levels: If disabled, session levels disappear once price trades through them.

Session & Macro Settings

  • Macro Sessions: Toggles the 9:45 and 10:45 AM EST brackets.
  • Bracket Height (ticks): Adjusts the vertical size of the macro brackets.
  • Session Inputs: Allows users to customize the specific start and end times for the Asia, London, and NY sessions.
