The RSI / Stoch / SRSI / MFI / Aroon Overlay indicator provides a comprehensive oscillator suite that combines five popular momentum and trend metrics into a single pane for efficient market analysis and space management.

Usage

This tool is designed to identify momentum confluences and potential trend reversals by overlaying multiple oscillators. By default, the RSI and Stochastic oscillators are active, but users can toggle additional layers to suit their strategy.

  • RSI & MFI: Use these to identify overbought (>70) or oversold (<30) conditions. When both show similar extremes, the probability of a reversal increases.
  • Stochastic & SRSI: These are faster oscillators used to find entry points within a trend. Look for K and D line crossovers specifically within the 80/20 zones for higher-reliability signals.
  • Aroon: This helps in predicting trend reversals by measuring the time between highs and lows. It serves as a trend-strength filter for the other momentum oscillators.
  • Neutral Zone: The highlighted 45-55 area acts as a pivot. Assets maintaining position above 60 are considered bullish, while those staying below 40 suggest bearish dominance.

Details

The script integrates the following calculations:

  • Relative Strength Index (RSI): Standard momentum measurement based on price change.
  • Stochastic: Evaluates the current price relative to its range over a specific period.
  • Stochastic RSI (SRSI): Applies the Stochastic formula to RSI values for increased sensitivity.
  • Money Flow Index (MFI): A volume-weighted RSI that provides insight into capital inflow and outflow.
  • Aroon: Measures the time since the last n-period high or low to determine trend direction and strength.

Settings

  • Oscillator Toggles: Enable or disable RSI, SRSI, Stoch, MFI, and Aroon.
  • Highlight Neutral Area: Toggles the visibility of the 45-55 horizontal band.
  • RSI / SRSI source: Determines the price data used for RSI calculations.
  • RSI / SRSI / MFI length: The lookback period for the primary momentum oscillators.
  • Stoch length: The lookback period used for the Stochastic calculation.
  • Stoch K / D: Smoothing parameters for the Stochastic lines.
  • Aroon length: The lookback period for the Aroon Up and Down lines.

FAQ

How do I use the neutral zone?

The neutral zone (45-55) helps identify sideways markets. A breakout and sustained hold above this zone often precedes a bullish trend, while a failure to break above it can confirm bearish resistance.

Can I use all five indicators at once?

Yes, all five can be enabled simultaneously; however, it is recommended to use more transparent colors or toggle off unused indicators to maintain visual clarity.
