SuperTrader Trend Analysis and Trade Study Dashboard
Mar 28, 2025

The SuperTrader Trend Analysis and Trade Study Dashboard indicator provides a multi-faceted view of market behavior by combining momentum signals, daily cross-checks, and a comprehensive data dashboard. It aims to reveal trend strength, potential divergences, and price deviations from historical averages to identify high-probability trade setups.
Usage
The indicator employs the "Three Musketeers" methodology to determine market pressure. A Buy Signal is generated when at least two of the following conditions align: price is above the 50/200 EMAs, RSI crosses above oversold thresholds (30), or price breaks above the 20 SMA Bollinger Bands. Conversely, a Sell Signal triggers when two or more bearish conditions align.
Multi-Asset Analysis
The dashboard tracks the daily performance of the "Mag 8" (AAPL, AMZN, GOOG, NFLX, NVDA, TSLA, META, MSFT), providing a sentiment tally based on their relationship to the previous day's close.
Trend & Momentum
The script utilizes a Variable Index Dynamic Average (VIDYA) to plot an adaptive trend line. Users can visualize price deviations using the YoYo Distance, which highlights potential snapbacks when price strays too far from the 10-period SMA.
Details
This tool integrates several technical concepts:
- Golden/Death Crosses: Automatically identifies 50/200 SMA crosses on the daily timeframe.
- Gap Probabilities: Estimates the likelihood of next-day gap movements by weighing volume, MACD, and mid-range price positioning.
- Adaptive Bands: Uses ATR-based multipliers around the VIDYA line to define dynamic breakout zones.
Settings
- RSI Length: Sets the lookback period for RSI and divergence calculations.
- Trend Line Period/Momentum: Controls the sensitivity and lookback of the VIDYA calculation.
- Trend Band Distance: Determines the ATR multiplier for the upper and lower trend bands.
- YoYo Threshold (%): Defines the percentage distance from the SMA(10) required to trigger mean reversion alerts.
- MACD Settings: Customizable fast/slow lengths and smoothing for the integrated MACD analysis.
- Table Rows Visibility: A group of toggles to show or hide specific dashboard metrics like Bull/Bear scores, VIX data, and divergence status.
FAQ
- How do I interpret the "Bull Score"? The score is derived from the "Three Musketeers" logic; a higher score indicates more conditions (Trend, RSI, Bollinger) are aligned in a bullish direction.
- Can I change the symbols in the Mag 8 list? These are currently hardcoded to track major market movers for a broad sentiment overview.
- How do I access SuperTrader Trend Analysis and Trade Study Dashboard? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
