Dashboard

The Equity Bond Currency Dashboard indicator provides a comprehensive visual map of demand-flow between major asset classes—Equities, Bonds, and Currencies—across six key countries. It is designed to help traders track the movement of "smart money" and understand the interconnected dynamics of global markets by visualizing how capital rotates between different financial instruments.

Usage

The dashboard functions as a flow diagram where the US Dollar Index (DXY) acts as the central hub. Capital movement is represented by arrows connecting various blocks:

  • Currency to DXY: When the Dollar strengthens against a specific currency, an arrow indicates demand flowing toward the DXY.
  • DXY to Currency: When a foreign currency strengthens against the Dollar, the arrow points toward that currency.
  • Asset Rotation: Each currency block is linked to its respective country's Equity Index and Bond Yield. Arrows illustrate how demand shifts—for example, capital moving from a currency into equities or bonds when those assets are being bought.

The left sidebar of each block functions as a normalized OHLC candle:

  • The top and bottom represent the high and low of the selected timeframe.
  • Open and close levels are normalized relative to the high/low range.
  • Border colors indicate performance: Green if the current close is greater than or equal to the previous close, and Red if it is lower.

Details

This tool implements a multi-symbol data retrieval system using request.security to pull real-time data for 18 different tickers simultaneously. It maps these inputs onto a custom coordinate system to create a dashboard layout. The logic assumes that Equities and Bonds, when purchased, draw demand from their respective national currencies, providing a macro view of market sentiment. Note that while this covers significant capital flows, it does not account for all variables such as commodities or inflation rates.

Settings

  • US Asset Selection: Allows users to define the symbols used for the US Dollar Index, US 2-Year Yield, and the S&P 500.
  • Country Asset Selection (C1-C5): Five groups of settings to define the Currency pair (e.g., USDINR), 2-Year Bond Yield, and Equity Index for different regions.
  • Run on a historical bar: A toggle to render the dashboard based on a specific historical date rather than real-time data.
  • Render On: A timestamp input to select the specific historical point for the dashboard display if the historical option is enabled.

FAQ

How do I interpret the arrows?

The arrows represent the direction of demand flow. If an arrow points from the USD toward the Euro, it suggests capital is flowing into the Euro.

Why is the dashboard not appearing on my chart?

The indicator requires at least 200 bars of historical data for all selected symbols to render correctly. Ensure your current chart and timeframe meet this requirement.
