The 3TF Supertrend Resonance— 4H/1H/15m+ 3TP/SL indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe trading framework that combines Supertrend alignment across three specific timeframes (4H, 1H, and 15m) with automated risk management and momentum filtering.

Usage

This tool is designed to help traders maintain directional alignment with higher-timeframe structures while executing trades on lower timeframes like 15m or 1m.

  • Trend Confluence: When the 4H, 1H, and 15m Supertrends align in the same direction, the indicator triggers a "Resonance" signal. This is visualized via vertical lines and background coloring (Green for bullish, Red for bearish).
  • Momentum Filtering: On the 15m timeframe, the script applies an optional Range Detection filter using ADX and Choppiness Index. If the market is in confluence but lacks strength, a grey overlay appears, warning of a potential "flat" trend.
  • Dynamic Targets: The script uses the current timeframe's Supertrend as a structural Stop Loss (SL). It then automatically projects three Take Profit (TP) levels based on risk multiples (1.5R, 3R, and 4.5R).
  • Entry Signals: Small circle markers appear when the 15m Supertrend flips direction, highlighting early shifts in short-term market structure.

Details

The indicator calculates Supertrend levels for three timeframes simultaneously. Users can toggle between "Confirmed" values to avoid repainting or "Live" values for higher sensitivity. Each timeframe's Supertrend level is projected as a horizontal line to serve as dynamic support or resistance. The confluence logic ensures that a trade is only considered when the long-term (4H), medium-term (1H), and short-term (15m) trends are synchronized.

Settings

  • ATR Period/Multiplier: Configures the sensitivity of the underlying Supertrend calculations.
  • Multi-Timeframe Selection: Allows users to define the specific timeframes used for confluence (Default: 240, 60, 15).
  • Use Confirmed HTF Values: When enabled, the indicator uses closed candle data from higher timeframes to prevent repainting.
  • Horizontal Line Display: Toggles visibility for the 4H, 1H, and 15m Supertrend levels on the chart.
  • Range Detection: Settings for ADX and Choppiness thresholds to filter out low-momentum trends.
  • TP/SL Projection: Controls the visibility and styling of the automated risk-based target labels and lines.

FAQ

How do I use the confluence signals for entries?

Entries are typically considered when the vertical resonance line appears, indicating all three timeframes have aligned. Traders often look for this alignment to occur in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend.

What does the grey background mean?

A grey background indicates that while the three timeframes are aligned, the momentum (measured by ADX or Choppiness) is insufficient, suggesting the market may be ranging.
