The Unicorn ICT Signals indicator tool provides an automated implementation of the "ICT Unicorn Model," a trading concept derived from Inner Circle Trader methodologies. By identifying the specific intersection where a Breaker Block overlaps with a Fair Value Gap (FVG), the script highlights high-probability zones for potential trend reversals or continuations.

Usage

The indicator identifies three core components: Breaker Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, and the resulting "Unicorn" zones.

  • Bullish Unicorn: Look for areas where a Bullish Breaker Block (a broken supply order block) overlaps with a Bullish FVG. This serves as a demand zone for potential buy entries.
  • Bearish Unicorn: Look for areas where a Bearish Breaker Block (a broken demand order block) overlaps with a Bearish FVG. This serves as a supply zone for potential sell entries.
  • Filtering: Users can apply various FVG filters (Aggressive to Defensive) to reduce market noise and focus on gaps with specific price action characteristics, such as body size and candle polarity.

Details

The Unicorn Model relies on the transition of market structure. A Breaker Block is a failed Order Block that has been breached, signaling a shift in sentiment (e.g., old resistance becoming new support). When this structural shift is accompanied by a Fair Value Gap—an imbalance where price moved too rapidly—the overlap creates a "Unicorn" zone. The script uses complex logic to detect pivots, refine order block origins, and monitor for mitigation (when price returns to test the zone).

Settings

Global Setting

  • Pivot Period of Order Blocks Detector: Sets the lookback period for identifying price pivots used in block detection.
  • Order Block Validity Period (Bar): The maximum number of bars a block remains valid before being discarded.
  • Mitigation Level (BB/FVG/Unicorn): Choose whether mitigation occurs at the Proximal, Distal, or 50% (Mean Threshold) level.

Display Settings

  • Unicorn Block Display: Toggles for demand/supply Unicorn boxes and color customization.
  • Breaker Block Display: Options to show all or only the most recent Breaker Blocks, including sub-types like Propulsion and BoS origins.
  • Fair Value Gap Display: Visibility controls for bullish and bearish FVG boxes.

Logic Settings

  • Order Block Refinement: Enables "Defensive" or "Aggressive" refinement modes to narrow down the price levels of detected blocks.
  • FVG Filter: A multi-step algorithm (Very Aggressive to Very Defensive) that filters gaps based on candle size and relationship to surrounding price action.

FAQ

  • How do I interpret a "Mitigated" zone? A zone is considered mitigated when the price returns to the specified level (Proximal, Distal, or 50%), suggesting the imbalance or orders have been filled.
  • What is the difference between a Main and Sub Breaker Block? Main Breaker Blocks are derived from primary structural shifts, while Sub blocks are identified from internal structures or specific Break of Structure (BoS) origins.
