The 4EMA RSI/MACD SIGNAL V1 indicator provides a comprehensive trend-following and momentum-based toolkit by combining four exponential moving averages with MACD crossover signals and RSI extreme conditions directly on the chart.

Usage

This tool can be used to identify trend direction, momentum shifts, and potential exhaustion points simultaneously. The four EMAs help visualize the trend across multiple timeframes or sensitivities (e.g., 20, 50, 100, and 200 periods).

Users can monitor the following signals:

  • MACD Crossovers: Displayed as "X" marks with accompanying triangles, these signals highlight shifts in momentum. An "X" below the bar indicates a bullish crossover, while an "X" above the bar indicates a bearish crossover.
  • RSI Extremes: The indicator changes bar colors when the Relative Strength Index reaches overbought or oversold thresholds, signaling potential reversal areas.
  • Trend Identification: The four customizable EMAs act as dynamic support and resistance levels.

Details

The script integrates three classic technical analysis components into a single overlay:

  1. Exponential Moving Averages (EMA): Calculated based on user-defined lengths and sources.
  2. Relative Strength Index (RSI): Uses a standard RMA-based calculation to determine overbought and oversold states, which then trigger bar color changes.
  3. MACD: Calculates the difference between a fast (12) and slow (26) EMA, generating crossover signals based on a 9-period signal line.

Settings

RSI Settings

  • Length: The lookback period used for the RSI calculation.
  • Oversold Value: The threshold below which bars will change color to signify an oversold state.
  • Overbought Value: The threshold above which bars will change color to signify an overbought state.

EMA Settings

  • Enable 1st/2nd/3rd/4th MA: Toggle switches to show or hide each individual moving average.
  • EMA LENGTH (1-4): The period used for each respective moving average calculation.
  • Source (A-D): The price source (Close, Open, High, Low, etc.) used for each respective moving average.
