The Support Resistance base Volume RSI indicator is a technical analysis tool designed to identify significant supply and demand zones by filtering price action through volume spikes and momentum extremes. It provides traders with dynamic horizontal levels that represent potential turning points or breakout areas in the market.

Usage

The tool can be used to identify key price levels where institutional activity or high momentum is present.

  • Support Levels: A green support line is plotted when the price is falling, the RSI is in oversold territory, and the current volume is the highest within the defined lookback period. This indicates a potential "buying climax" or a strong defensive floor.
  • Resistance Levels: A red resistance line is plotted when the price is rising, the RSI is overbought, and volume hits a lookback high. This suggests a potential "selling climax" or a significant supply ceiling.
  • RSI Labels: The script displays floating labels showing the RSI value when the oscillator enters overbought or oversold zones, helping traders visualize momentum directly on the price chart.
  • Last Bar Label: A persistent label on the far right of the chart provides the real-time RSI value for quick reference.

Details

The script combines three core technical concepts to determine its levels:

  1. Volume Analysis: By looking for the highest volume within a specific lookback period, the script identifies bars with high conviction.
  2. Momentum (RSI): The 14-period RSI ensures that levels are only generated when the market is at a relative extreme (overbought/oversold), reducing noise from low-volatility periods.
  3. Price Delta (ROC): The Rate of Change determines the direction of the movement to correctly categorize the level as either support or resistance.

Settings

  • Periode Lookback: Sets the lookback window used to find the highest volume bar.
  • Fast RSI Settings:
    • Fast RSI: Toggles the visibility of the RSI labels above and below price bars.
    • Label Size: Adjusts the font size of the RSI labels (Tiny, Small, Normal, Large).
    • Oversold Level: Defines the RSI threshold for oversold conditions (default is 30).
    • Overbought Level: Defines the RSI threshold for overbought conditions (default is 70).

FAQ

How do I interpret the support and resistance lines?

The lines represent price levels where high volume met extreme momentum. These are often treated as "break or retest" zones where price may find significant friction in the future.

Can I use this for intraday trading?

Yes, the indicator scales across all timeframes. On shorter timeframes, it highlights high-volume scalping levels, while on higher timeframes, it identifies major structural zones.
