The MTF Pivot+ (Camarilla & CPR) indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe analysis toolkit combining Camarilla levels and Central Pivot Range (CPR) zones to identify institutional support, resistance, and trend exhaustion areas. It is designed to assist both day and swing traders in pinpointing high-probability entry zones through automated timeframe selection and dynamic price relative levels.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used, examples should be provided in this section. This section also focuses on how main settings affect the indicator interpretation and output.

  • Trend Analysis: Use the CPR zone (TC, CP, BC) to determine market bias. When the price is above the CPR, the context is bullish; below is bearish. A narrow CPR often signals an impending breakout, while a wide CPR suggests a sideways or mean-reverting market.
  • Camarilla Trading: Utilize R3/S3 levels as primary reversal zones for range-bound markets. For breakout strategies, monitor R4/S4 levels; a breach of these levels typically indicates a strong trend expansion toward R5/R6 or S5/S6 targets.
  • Multi-Timeframe Confluence: The indicator highlights areas where current levels align with higher timeframe (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) pivots. These "confluence zones" act as stronger psychological barriers for price action.
  • ATR Exhaustion: Monitor the exhaustion labels (▼/▲) to identify overextended price moves. When price exceeds a specific ATR multiplier, it is statistically likely to stall or reverse, providing a filter against chasing late entries.

Details

The script executes calculations based on selected higher timeframes regardless of the current chart resolution.

  • Rolling Pivots: Unlike standard pivots that reset at the start of a period, the "Rolling" option uses the previous 24 hours of price action to update levels dynamically, providing a continuous view of support and resistance.
  • Futures Optimization: For traders using continuous futures contracts (like CME:ES1!), the script can calculate levels based on the Last Traded Price (LTP) rather than exchange settlement prices, ensuring the levels remain relevant to intraday price action.
  • Anchored VWAP: The tool includes Anchored VWAP lines starting from the beginning of the pivot period (Day, Week, Month) or Year, offering a volume-weighted perspective on price value.

Settings

  • Level Timeframe: Sets the base timeframe for calculations. "Auto" mode selects the most relevant higher timeframe based on your current chart.
  • Display Period: Toggles between showing Current levels, Previous (historical) levels, or Projection (forecasted) levels.
  • Dynamic Pivots (Rolling Pivots): Recalculates levels based on a rolling 24-hour window rather than static calendar periods.
  • Last Traded Price (LTP): Forces the script to use the most recent price data for futures, bypassing settlement price lag.
  • CPR Range: Toggles the visibility of the Central Pivot Range.
  • ATR Exhaustion Labels: Enables visual markers showing where the price has moved a significant percentage of its average daily range.
  • Level Confluence: Searches for overlaps between different timeframes and marks them with icons (Ⓓ, Ⓦ, Ⓜ).
  • Cooldown: Sets a minimum bar count between consecutive alerts to prevent notification spam.

FAQ

How do I interpret the CPR Trend Analysis?
The CPR color changes based on its position relative to the previous period's CP. Green indicates a bullish shift (ascending pivots), red indicates a bearish shift (descending pivots), and gray represents a flat or overlapping value area.

What is the difference between R3/S3 and R4/S4 levels?
R3 and S3 are considered "reversal" levels where price often bounces back toward the CP. R4 and S4 are "breakout" levels; once price breaks through these, it suggests a strong trend is underway.
