The ICT Intraday Model indicator is a comprehensive technical analysis tool that automates the identification of institutional trading concepts like Higher-Timeframe (HTF) bias, market structure shifts, and institutional PD arrays. It serves as a complete execution engine by aligning directional bias with intraday price action and liquidity sweeps to identify high-probability trade setups.

Usage

The Usage section describes how to interpret the various components of the model for intraday trading:

  • Directional Filter: The indicator displays a live Bias Table in the top-right corner. It analyzes HTF structure (Higher Highs/Higher Lows for bullish, Lower Highs/Lower Lows for bearish) to ensure traders only take setups in the direction of the institutional trend.
  • Structure Confirmation: Users can look for "BOS" (Break of Structure) labels to confirm trend continuation or "MSS" (Market Structure Shift) labels to identify potential trend reversals.
  • Entry Zones: The tool automatically plots Order Blocks (solid boxes) and Fair Value Gaps (dashed boxes). These represent areas of institutional interest where price is likely to react.
  • Liquidity Sweeps: Dotted lines mark Buy-Side (BSL) and Sell-Side (SSL) liquidity. A "Sweep" label fires when price wicks past these levels and closes back inside, suggesting a reversal.
  • Killzones: Background shading identifies the Asia, London, NY AM, and NY PM sessions. Professional setups are prioritized when signals occur within these windows of high volatility.

Details

The script utilizes a multi-layered logic system to reduce market noise. The "Bias Engine" fetches daily candle data (or a user-defined HTF) via security calls to determine the master trend. Intraday components like displacement-based Order Blocks (calculated by comparing candle bodies to a 14-bar average) and 3-candle FVG imbalances are only prioritized when they align with the HTF bias. The Trade Setup Engine requires four specific conditions to fire a signal: HTF bias alignment, intraday structure confirmation (BOS/MSS), price interaction with a PD array (OB or FVG), and active Killzone timing.

Settings

Bias Engine

  • HTF Bias Timeframe: Sets the timeframe used for the master trend calculation (default is Daily).
  • HTF Structure Lookback: Determines the number of candles used to identify higher-highs and lower-lows.
  • Show Bias Table: Toggles the visibility of the trend data table.

Market Structure

  • Swing Pivot Length: Defines the sensitivity of the pivot detection for BOS and MSS labels.
  • Show BOS / MSS Labels: Toggles market structure annotations on the chart.

Order Blocks & FVGs

  • Max Active OBs: Limits the number of order blocks displayed simultaneously to keep the chart clean.
  • Remove Mitigated OBs/FVGs: When enabled, zones disappear once price trades through or fills them.
  • Min FVG Size (%): Filters out insignificant price gaps based on a percentage of the current price.

Trade Setup

  • Risk % of Entry: Calculates the suggested position size based on the entry price.
  • TP1/TP2/TP3 Risk:Reward: Sets the three take-profit levels plotted on the automated trade labels.

FAQ

How do I use the ICT Intraday Model? You should first check the HTF Bias Table. If it is "Bullish," look for a price interaction with a teal Order Block or FVG during a Killzone, followed by an "MSS ▲" label for a long entry.

What triggers a trade signal label? A signal appears when HTF bias, intraday structure, a PD array interaction, and a Killzone time window all align at the same time.
