The CISD with Alerts indicator identifies and tracks the Change in State of Delivery (CISD) concept, providing a systematic way to spot potential trend reversals and market structure shifts early.

Usage

The script is designed to act as a confirmation tool for traders following ICT methodologies. It marks specific levels where a change in the market's delivery state occurs, which often precedes a larger shift in market structure.

  • Bullish CISD (+CISD): Occurs when the price closes above the opening price of the candle that initiated the most recent downtrend or liquidity sweep.
  • Bearish CISD (-CISD): Occurs when the price closes below the opening price of the candle that initiated the most recent uptrend or liquidity sweep.

Traders can use these levels as entry triggers or as confirmation that a higher-timeframe point of interest (POI) is holding. The indicator also features a status table to provide a quick glance at the current trend state directly on the chart.

Details

The Change in State of Delivery (CISD) is a nuanced pattern that focuses on the behavior of price relative to the "failed" candle of the previous move. By identifying the specific opening price that defined the start of a trend leg, the script tracks when the opposing side has successfully regained control. Unlike traditional Market Structure Shifts (MSS) which may require a swing point break, CISD often provides an earlier signal by focusing on candle closes against specific delivery levels.

FAQ

How do I use the CISD levels for entries?

Many traders look for a CISD as a "change of character" inside a higher timeframe supply or demand zone to confirm that the internal order flow has shifted in their desired direction.

What is the difference between CISD and a Break of Structure (BOS)?

A BOS usually involves breaking a swing high or low, whereas a CISD focuses on the closing price relative to the candle that started the move, often resulting in a faster signal.
