VWAP D/W/M/Q/Y
Nov 25, 2021

The VWAP D/W/M/Q/Y indicator provides a comprehensive suite of Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) levels for multiple timeframes, allowing traders to identify institutional value across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly periods simultaneously.
Usage
The tool is designed to help traders identify key support and resistance levels based on volume-weighted benchmarks. By plotting multiple timeframes, you can see where different periodic values converge, often indicating significant market interest.
Example scenarios:
- Trend Identification: Use the Yearly or Quarterly VWAP to determine the long-term trend bias, while using Daily or Weekly VWAP for shorter-term entries.
- Mean Reversion: When the "Plot Standard Deviation" option is enabled, the bands act as overextended levels. Traders often look for price to return to the central VWAP line after touching the +/- 2 Standard Deviation bands.
- Previous Value Analysis: By enabling previous period levels, you can see how current price action reacts to historical value areas, such as the previous week's VWAP or standard deviation levels.
Details
This script calculates VWAP by accumulating the product of price and volume and dividing it by the total accumulated volume for a specific period. It uses a custom standard deviation calculation that accounts for volume weight, ensuring that the bands accurately reflect volatility relative to market participation. The script is optimized with labels for clear identification of each level on the right side of the chart.
