HMA Buy Sell Signals - Profit Manager
Jan 3, 2025

The HMA Buy Sell Signals - Profit Manager indicator provides a comprehensive trading system that combines dual Hull Moving Averages for trend detection with an automated performance tracking module. This tool simplifies market analysis by visualizing entry, take-profit, and stop-loss levels directly on the chart while accounting for commission costs in real-time.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on identifying trend shifts and managing trades based on visual cues and performance metrics.
- Trend Identification: The script uses two HMAs. A buy signal is generated when the fast HMA crosses above the slow HMA, while a sell signal occurs on a crossunder. The HMA lines change color (Green for bullish, Red for bearish) to provide immediate feedback.
- Trade Management: Upon a signal, the indicator automatically calculates and plots Entry, Take-Profit (TP), and Stop-Loss (SL) lines. These levels are dynamic based on the percentage inputs in the settings.
- RSI Extremes: The indicator plots arrows and labels when the RSI reaches overbought (70+, 80+) or oversold (30-, 20-) levels, suggesting potential exhaustion points.
- Fractal Support/Resistance: Horizontal lines are drawn based on the most recent pivot highs and lows. These serve as dynamic support and resistance zones to filter entries or set targets.
Details
The script simulates trade execution by tracking "Starting Capital" and applying a fixed commission rate (0.075%). It monitors the high and low of subsequent bars to determine if the calculated TP or SL levels have been reached. A performance table is rendered in the bottom-right corner, displaying:
- Total trade count for both long and short directions.
- Gross profit and loss.
- Accumulated commission costs.
- Final Net Profit.
Settings
- Trend Period: Adjusts the length of the main Hull Moving Average used for trend direction.
- HMA Cross: Adjusts the length of the signal HMA line.
- Take Profit / Stop Loss %: Sets the distance for target and protection levels for both long and short trades.
- Starting Capital: Defines the initial balance used for position sizing calculations in the performance table.
- Start/End Date: Filters the period during which trade signals and performance tracking are active.
- Fractal Period: Determines the sensitivity of the pivot detection for support and resistance lines.
- Visual Settings: Customization options for line thickness and colors for support/resistance levels.
FAQ
How do I access HMA Buy Sell Signals - Profit Manager?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
Can I change the commission rate?
The commission rate is currently hardcoded at 0.075% to reflect standard exchange fees, but the visual levels and signals remain independent of this value.
Why are some signals ignored by the table?
The performance tracker only processes one trade at a time per direction. If a new signal occurs while a simulated trade is still active (price hasn't hit TP or SL), the new signal will not be added to the performance stats.
