Advanced Trend Momentum
Aug 22, 2025

The Advanced Trend Momentum indicator is a multi-dimensional tool that combines dual exponential moving average analysis with RSI momentum assessment and dynamic support/resistance detection to provide deep insights into market dynamics. This script helps traders identify trend changes, momentum divergences, and key structural levels through a unified framework.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on interpreting the various visual components to identify trading opportunities.
- Trend Confirmation: Use the dual EMA crossover (Fast and Slow) to identify the primary trend. When the Fast EMA is above the Slow EMA and the trend strength exceeds 1%, it confirms a strong bullish environment.
- Momentum Divergence: Monitor the diamond-shaped markers for potential reversals. A bullish divergence occurs when prices reach new lows while the RSI momentum begins to rise in oversold territory.
- Structural Context: Use the dynamic horizontal lines (Pivots) as entry or exit targets. Aligning a trend change signal with a bounce from a support level increases the probability of a successful trade.
- Candlestick Coloring: The candle overlay reflects combined trend and momentum conditions, allowing for quick visual filtering of market noise.
Details
This script processes market data through three primary analytical engines:
- Trend Engine: Uses Fast and Slow EMAs with an ATR-normalized strength measurement to filter out weak or sideways movements.
- Momentum Engine: Implements an RSI-based calculation with enhanced overbought/oversold detection and velocity tracking.
- Structural Engine: Identifies dynamic support and resistance levels using pivot point analysis, managed through configurable arrays.
The final output is summarized in a real-time dashboard displaying Trend Direction, Strength Percentage, RSI value, and Momentum readings.

FAQ
How do I interpret the trend strength percentage? The strength percentage measures the distance between the two EMAs relative to market volatility. Values above 1% typically indicate strong institutional participation.
What do the diamond markers represent? The diamond markers signify momentum divergences, where price and RSI momentum are moving in opposite directions, suggesting a potential trend exhaustion.
How can I access Advanced Trend Momentum? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
