The AetherEdge - Triaxial Consensus Strategy indicator provides an automated trading system powered by a triaxial consensus engine that evaluates trend, momentum, and volatility axes. It utilizes adaptive AI/ML layers to self-tune weights and thresholds per instrument, paired with a comprehensive trade management stack for professional-grade swing trading.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to automate high-conviction swing trading on higher timeframes such as the 4-hour, daily, and weekly charts. The strategy functions by analyzing three independent axes to generate signals and then applying execution filters to manage entries and exits.

Signal Generation and Execution

  • Consensus Engine: The strategy evaluates Trend (EMA stacks, Dow Theory, ADX), Momentum (QQE, MACD Histograms), and Volatility (BB Expansion, ATR Ratios). A "Strong" signal fires when cross-axis tolerance is met and the combined score exceeds the active threshold.
  • Confidence Scaling: Position sizing is dynamically adjusted based on the Consensus Confidence. Signals with confidence below 40% are blocked, while those above 80% utilize the full risk-per-trade setting.
  • Trade Management: Once an entry is triggered, the script automatically manages three Take Profit (TP) levels. It implements a partial close (50% default) at TP1 and moves the Stop Loss (SL) to breakeven to secure profits.

Analysis and Diagnostics

The integrated 16-row dashboard provides a diagnostic row that explains current market conditions. It reveals why a signal might be suppressed (e.g., drawdown protection active, position already open, or insufficient consensus score), allowing users to understand the logic behind every trade or non-trade.

Details

The strategy is architecturally split into an "engine" layer and an "execution" layer. The engine identifies mathematical consensus using RL-style adaptive weights and a Q-learning adaptive threshold. The execution layer manages risk through ATR-based stops and intelligent trailing, which only activates when the Momentum axis agrees with the trade direction.

The "Regime Classifier" dynamically biases axis weights based on market conditions:

  • Trend Regime: Weights the Trend axis more heavily.
  • Volatile Regime: Prioritizes Volatility and Momentum.
  • Quiet Regime: Lowers overall consensus sensitivity to avoid range-bound noise.

Settings

Preset and Core Axes

  • Profile: Selects between Beginner (conservative), Standard, and Aggressive presets, adjusting the baseline consensus thresholds.
  • Use Axes: Toggles for the Trend, Momentum, and Volatility axes.
  • Cross-Axis Tolerance: Defines the maximum allowed disagreement between axes before a signal is invalidated.

AI and MTF

  • Adaptive Axis Weights: Enables reinforcement learning-style weighting that rewards axes providing historically accurate directions within a set horizon.
  • Higher-TF Alignment: Filters signals based on trend alignment with two user-defined higher timeframes.
  • Adaptive Consensus Threshold: Uses Q-learning to find the optimal trigger level within the preset range.

Risk and Execution

  • Risk % per Trade: The percentage of account equity risked based on the distance between entry and the ATR Stop Loss.
  • Default RR Ratio: Sets the primary target (TP2). TP1 and TP3 are scaled relative to this value.
  • Intelligent Trailing Stop: Enables SL trailing only when momentum remains favorable.
  • Max Drawdown Halt: Automatically stops new entries if the strategy equity drops by the specified percentage from its peak.

FAQ

How do I interpret the dashboard diagnostic row? The diagnostic row informs you of the specific condition preventing a trade, such as "DD Halt" (drawdown protection), "Low Conf" (confidence below 40%), or the specific score distance required to trigger a buy or sell.

What are the best timeframes for this strategy? The strategy is optimized for the 4-hour, daily, and weekly timeframes. Using it on timeframes below 1-hour is not recommended due to increased market noise and potential false signals.
