The Key Intraday Levels indicator provides an all-in-one overlay for ICT and SMC traders by plotting essential intraday reference prices, including session ranges, opening prices, and previous day/week extremes.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on how to interpret and customize the various intraday levels provided by the tool.

Session Boxes

The indicator highlights the price range of up to five trading sessions: Asian Range, London, NY AM, Lunch Hour, and NY PM. Users can toggle these boxes and configure start/end times in 15-minute increments. These boxes automatically hide on timeframes above 1H to prevent chart clutter and fade out after the CME daily rollover (6 PM ET).

Liquidity Levels

Once a session concludes, horizontal lines extend from the exact candle where the session high or low was formed. These lines act as liquidity targets and remain active until price "takes" the level. A configurable grace period allows lines to extend a specific number of candles past the breakout before freezing. Labels indicate the session source (e.g., AS High, LO Low) and can optionally include the exact price.

Opening Prices

The tool marks three critical opening prices: Midnight Open (CME day start), 8:30 AM (pre-market news), and 9:30 AM (equities open). These are displayed as vertical lines with optional forward-extending horizontal levels. Previous days' opens show only the vertical line to maintain focus on the current session.

Daily & Weekly Levels

The script tracks the four most significant higher timeframe reference points: Previous Day High (PDH), Previous Day Low (PDL), Previous Week High (PWH), and Previous Week Low (PWL). Unlike standard pivots, these lines originate from the specific bar where the extreme was formed and freeze once the level is breached.

Details

The script is designed for accuracy in time-based trading. It defaults to the New York (ET) timezone, which is standard for ICT/SMC methodologies. The execution utilizes max_boxes_count and max_lines_count to ensure historical levels remain visible up to the user-defined limit. A unique "Max Detection Range" based on Daily ATR is included to filter out distant swing levels, keeping the interface clean during high volatility.

FAQ

How do I adjust the indicator for my local time? You should adjust the "Timezone" setting in the General category to match your chart's timezone; however, for ICT/SMC accuracy, keeping it on New York (ET) is recommended.

Why do session boxes disappear on the Daily chart? The indicator is programmed to hide intraday boxes on timeframes above 1H to ensure higher timeframe charts remain clean and readable.
