The VWAP 2.0 with desv + Initial Balance indicator provides a comprehensive session-based analysis tool that combines Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) with customizable standard deviation bands and price range monitoring. This tool aims to help traders identify institutional value areas, support/resistance levels, and high-impact session ranges within a single interface.

Usage

The indicator is designed for multi-layered market analysis. The VWAP component anchors to specific timeframes (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.) to show the average price weighted by volume, helping traders identify the trend direction and "fair value."

The Standard Deviation Bands act as dynamic overbought and oversold zones. Traders often look for mean reversion when price reaches the outer bands or trend continuation if price holds above/below specific multipliers.

The Initial Balance and Session Ranges allow traders to define specific time windows (e.g., the first hour of trade) to mark high and low levels. These levels often act as significant support or resistance for the remainder of the trading day. The Time-Based Range Box can be used to highlight specific news events or market opens to track price volatility within a localized window.

Details

The script utilizes ta.vwap for high-precision calculations and includes a custom volume percentage tracking system. This system categorizes volume based on its location relative to the standard deviation bands, providing insight into where market participation is most concentrated.

The range box and session high/low features use time-based logic to anchor coordinates, ensuring they remain consistent across different intraday timeframes. The indicator also supports historical anchor resets, allowing users to backtest how previous periods' VWAPs interacted with price action.
