The Fibonacci ATR Fusion - Strategy indicator is a comprehensive trading tool that integrates Fibonacci-weighted averages with Average True Range (ATR) to identify market trends and provide a systematic framework for entries and exits. By combining dynamic volatility measurements with multi-timeframe analysis, it aims to capture significant price movements while offering a robust 4-step take-profit mechanism for optimized risk management.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to navigate different market environments. Traders can utilize the indicator to determine momentum shifts based on the interaction between the weighted average and user-defined thresholds.

  • Trend Identification: Use the "SMA Fibonacci ATR" line to gauge trend direction. A crossover above the Long Entry Threshold suggests bullish momentum, while a crossunder below the Short Entry Threshold suggests bearish momentum.
  • Directional Bias: Configure the "Trading Direction" setting to filter for only Long, only Short, or Both, allowing the strategy to align with higher-timeframe biases.
  • Exit Management: The strategy provides exit signals when the SMA crosses the respective exit thresholds. Additionally, the optional 4-step Take Profit system allows for scaling out of positions at ATR-based intervals to lock in gains during volatile moves.

Details

The Fibonacci ATR Fusion Strategy is built upon several key technical concepts:

  • Buying Pressure (BP) & True Range (TR): The strategy calculates Buying Pressure relative to the True Range. This ratio quantifies how much of the current price volatility is driven by upward movement.
  • Fibonacci Weighted Averages: Instead of a single period, the strategy calculates ratios over 8, 13, 21, 34, and 55 periods. These are then combined using a weighted average that prioritizes shorter (more recent) Fibonacci periods to maintain responsiveness.
  • Smoothing: A Simple Moving Average (SMA) is applied to the weighted average to filter out market noise and generate cleaner signal crossovers.
  • Dynamic Profit Taking: The Take Profit mechanism uses ATR multipliers. This means profit targets expand during high-volatility periods and contract during low-volatility periods, ensuring the strategy adapts to current market conditions.

Settings

  • Long Exit Threshold: The level that triggers an exit for long positions.
  • Short Exit Threshold: The level that triggers an exit for short positions.

Take Profit Configuration

  • Enable 4-Step Take Profit: Toggles the multi-level ATR-based take profit system.
  • Take Profit Level (1-3) ATR Multiplier: Defines the distance from the entry price for each TP level based on the current ATR.
