Fibonacci Confluence Grids (Levels + Time Zones)
Feb 26, 2026

The Fibonacci Confluence Grids (Levels + Time Zones) tool provides a 2D framework for market analysis by combining price Fibonacci levels with temporal "time gates." It aims to formalize the process of identifying significant market swings to project potential reaction zones in both price and time.
Usage
The indicator functions by identifying a significant A→B swing based on user-defined filters. Once a valid swing is established, it projects a set of price levels and time gates forward.
- Price Levels: Configurable Fibonacci retracements and extensions (e.g., 0.5, 0.618, 1.272) are drawn horizontally to mark potential support and resistance zones.
- Time Gates: Vertical markers are projected forward from point B using a bar sequence. These act as "attention windows" where the probability of market events—such as volatility expansion, reversals, or trend continuations—is historically higher.
- Confluence Zones: The primary usage is to look for intersections where price reaches a major Fibonacci level at the same time a vertical Time Gate is active. These high-information density points are used to watch for price action confirmation.
Details
The core philosophy of the script is that Fibonacci levels are only as valid as the swing they are anchored to. To solve the issue of "anchoring to noise," the tool includes an A–B Engine that filters swings based on ATR-relative size and minimum time duration.
Users can choose between two detection modes:
- ZigZag: Uses dynamic ATR-based reversals to identify major trend legs.
- Pivots: Uses fixed-length pivot highs and lows to anchor the framework.
The "Freeze Until Last Gate" feature is implemented to reduce visual churn, ensuring the grid stays fixed until the furthest time projection has passed before recalculating on a new swing.
Settings
A–B Engine
- A–B Mode: Choose between ZigZag or Pivots for swing detection.
- Min Size (x ATR): Minimum price move required to qualify as a valid swing.
- Min Bars: Minimum number of bars between point A and B.
- Freeze Until Last Gate: Prevents the framework from updating until the final time gate has been reached.
Price & Time Fib
- Levels: Comma-separated list of Fibonacci ratios for horizontal price lines.
- Time Gates Sequence: Comma-separated list of bar offsets (e.g., 13, 21, 34) for vertical time projections.
- Min Sep (x ATR): Minimum vertical distance between price levels to prevent visual clutter in tight ranges.
Styling
- ZigZag: Toggle and customize the appearance of the underlying swing detection.
- Price Fib Up/Down: Independent color controls for bullish and bearish swing projections.
- Time Gates: Toggle and customize the vertical time markers.
FAQ
How do I interpret the Time Gates?
Time gates are not predictive of direction; they represent checkpoints where market participation frequently changes. Look for structural breaks, liquidity sweeps, or reversals when price is near a Fibonacci level during a Time Gate.
Why is the indicator not drawing anything on my chart?
The indicator requires a swing to meet the "Min Size" and "Min Bars" requirements. If your chart is in a low-volatility consolidation, try lowering the "Min Size" or "Reversal (x ATR)" settings.
How can I access this tool?
