The Boom Hunter + Hull Suite + Volatility Oscillator Strategy indicator is a comprehensive trend-following and momentum system that combines three distinct analysis methods to identify high-probability trade setups. By integrating leading oscillator signals with trend confirmation and volatility spikes, it aims to capture significant market movements while maintaining strict risk management protocols.

Usage

This strategy utilizes a triple-confirmation process to filter out market noise and focus on momentum-driven trends:

  • Long Entry: Occurs when the Boom Hunter trigger line crosses above the Quotient 2 line (white over red), price is above a green Hull Suite line, and the Volatility Oscillator detects a positive volatility spike.
  • Short Entry: Triggered when the Boom Hunter trigger line crosses below the Quotient 2 line (white under red), price is below a red Hull Suite line, and the Volatility Oscillator detects a negative volatility spike.
  • Risk Management: The script automatically calculates position sizes based on a user-defined account risk percentage. Stop losses are dynamically set using recent swing highs/lows (with an ATR floor), while take-profit levels are established via a fixed Risk:Reward ratio.

For better visual clarity, users may choose to add standalone versions of the Hull Suite and Volatility Oscillator to their main chart, ensuring the settings match those configured within this strategy.

Details

The strategy is built upon three core components:

  1. Boom Hunter Pro: Acts as the leading indicator, utilizing high-pass filters and quotient transforms to identify early cyclical turns in price action.
  2. Hull Suite: Provides trend confirmation. It can be toggled between HMA, THMA, and EHMA variations to serve as a floating support/resistance level.
  3. Volatility Oscillator: Measures price spikes relative to their standard deviation, ensuring trades are only entered during periods of sufficient market activity.
