The CM_Ultimate RSI Triple Timeframe indicator provides a multi-timeframe perspective on market momentum by plotting three distinct Relative Strength Index (RSI) lines from different user-defined intervals on a single chart. This tool is designed to help traders identify trend alignment across multiple timeframes and spot potential exhaustion or reversal points through integrated visual signals.

Usage

The tool is primarily used to monitor momentum across three different periodicities simultaneously. By default, the indicator tracks a primary RSI alongside two additional lines (suggested for 60m, 15m, and 5m intervals).

  • Trend Alignment: When all three RSI lines are in the same territory (e.g., above 50), it suggests strong bullish momentum across timeframes.
  • Overbought/Oversold Signals: The script highlights the background when the primary RSI exceeds the defined upper or lower boundaries.
  • Crossover Signals: Visual "B" (Buy) and "S" (Sell) markers appear when the primary RSI crosses back inside the threshold levels (crossing above the lower line or below the upper line).
  • Visual Highlights: Background colors shift to indicate when the primary RSI is in extreme zones or when a crossover has recently occurred.

Details

The script utilizes the request.security function to fetch RSI data from different timeframes. Users can choose to use the current chart resolution for any of the three plots or specify custom timeframes. The primary RSI line is emphasized with a thicker width (linewidth 3) for clarity, while the secondary and tertiary lines provide the broader context.

FAQ

How do I use multiple timeframes effectively?

Traders often look for the higher timeframe RSI (e.g., 60m) to determine the overall trend, while using the lower timeframe RSI (e.g., 5m) to find specific entry points within that trend.

What do the background colors represent?

Red backgrounds indicate the primary RSI is above the upper threshold or has crossed below it, while green backgrounds indicate it is below the lower threshold or has crossed above it.
