Liquidity + Order-Flow Exhaustion (Smart-Money Logic)
Nov 10, 2025

The Liquidity + Order-Flow Exhaustion (Smart-Money Logic) indicator is a visual tool designed to help traders identify areas where institutional participants are likely accumulating or distributing positions through liquidity sweeps and subsequent market structure shifts.
Usage
The script is primarily used to detect "stop-hunts" or liquidity grabs that occur above or below significant swing levels. It is highly effective for identifying potential reversals where retail traders may be induced into chasing breakouts.
- Bullish Reversal: Look for price to sweep a previous low (triggering sell-stops) and subsequently close higher. This is highlighted by a green background and a 🔹 label.
- Bearish Reversal: Look for price to sweep a previous high (triggering buy-stops) and subsequently close lower. This is highlighted by a red background and a 🔸 label.
For optimal results, users should apply this tool to the 15-minute through 4-hour timeframes. It is best used as a confirmation tool near major swing points or when aligned with higher-timeframe trends, volume spikes, or Fair-Value Gaps (FVGs).
Details
The indicator operates on two primary logic steps inspired by Smart Money Concepts (SMC):
- Liquidity Sweep Detection: The script monitors the recent highest highs and lowest lows over a user-defined lookback period. A sweep is detected when price exceeds these levels but fails to sustain the breakout, suggesting an absorption of orders.
- Market Structure Shift (MSS): To confirm that the sweep has led to a change in order flow exhaustion, the script requires a price close back within the previous range. This "shift" indicates that the "smart money" has successfully trapped breakout traders and is now driving price in the opposite direction.
Settings
- Highest/Lowest Length: This determines the number of bars used to calculate the previous swing high and low. A higher value looks for more significant, older liquidity levels.
- Show Liquidity Grab Labels: A toggle to enable or disable the visual 🔹 and 🔸 labels at the points where liquidity sweeps are detected.
FAQ
How do I use the signals for entries?
The signals are best used as exhaustion markers. A bullish shift suggests the end of a short-term move down, while a bearish shift suggests the end of a rally. Always wait for the bar to close to confirm the shift.
What timeframes are best?
While the script works on any timeframe, it is most reliable on the 15m, 1H, and 4H charts where liquidity pools are more clearly defined.
