The ViVen - Multi Time Frame - Moving Average Strategy indicator provides a comprehensive view of trend direction by plotting multiple time frame moving averages on a single chart to identify support, resistance, and momentum shifts.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify trend direction and potential entry or exit points across various timeframes. Users can monitor a range of intervals from 1-minute to Monthly to determine if an asset is in a bullish or bearish phase.

  • Trend Identification: Use Monthly, Weekly, Daily, and 1-hour moving averages to establish the long-term trend. Price trading above these levels typically indicates a bullish regime, while price below suggests a bearish regime.
  • Support & Resistance: These multi-timeframe lines act as dynamic support and resistance zones. Traders often look for candlestick confirmations when price approaches these levels.
  • Scalping/Intraday Strategy: A common entry signal involves monitoring the 3-minute MA crossing the 5-minute MA. An upside cross suggests a "Buy" or scalp entry, while a downside cross suggests a "Sell" or "Exit" signal.
  • Trend Following (Hold): Upside crosses between higher timeframes (e.g., 5m crossing 15m or 15m crossing 1h) indicate increasing momentum, suggesting "Hold" or "Strong Hold" for positional trading.

Details

The script utilizes the request.security function to fetch moving average data from higher timeframes and projects them onto the current chart. This allows for a birds-eye view of market structure without switching tabs.

The indicator includes a real-time Moving Average Table. This dashboard provides a summarized status of the Last Traded Price (LTP) relative to each active moving average. If the price is above a specific MA, the table cell highlights green (bullish), and if below, it highlights red (bearish).
