EMA Cross Dashboard
Apr 2, 2024

The EMA Cross Dashboard indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe overview of Exponential Moving Average crosses. It allows users to monitor up to five different timeframes simultaneously, detecting bullish and bearish EMA crossovers and plotting them directly on the chart for enhanced trend identification.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to streamline multi-timeframe analysis:
- Trend Identification: Use the dashboard to identify when a short-term EMA crosses a long-term EMA across various timeframes. A cross up typically suggests bullish momentum, while a cross down suggests bearish momentum.
- Multi-Timeframe Confirmation: Monitor five different timeframes at once to confirm trend strength. If multiple timeframes show a consistent EMA cross direction, it may indicate a higher-probability trend.
- Custom Data Sources: The indicator can calculate EMAs based on standard price data (close, high, low) or can be linked to the output of other indicators for more advanced cross-analysis.
Details
The dashboard calculates the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) for each specified timeframe and length. Unlike Simple Moving Averages, EMAs place a higher weighting on recent price data, making them more reactive to recent market shifts. The script utilizes request.security to fetch data from different timeframes and organizes the status of these crosses into a customizable visual table.
