Dark Vector Scalping
Dec 1, 2025

The Dark Vector Scalping indicator provides a high-frequency trend-following system designed to identify and capture rapid momentum shifts using volatility-adjusted breakout logic.
Usage
The indicator is optimized for lower timeframes such as the 1-minute and 5-minute charts. Users can identify market regimes through the color of the candles and the plotted "Apex Stop" line.
- Long Positions: Enter when a green diamond signal appears and the candles turn teal/green.
- Short Positions: Enter when a red diamond signal appears and the candles turn red/pink.
- Trend Filtering: For more conservative entries, users can enable the HMA Safety Filter. When active, buy signals only trigger if price is above the 50-period Hull Moving Average, and sell signals only trigger when price is below it.
- Exits: The stepped line acts as a hard trailing stop (Apex Stop). A close beyond this line indicates a trend reversal or invalidation.
Details
The script utilizes two primary mechanisms for market analysis:
- Apex Engine: This employs a "hard" staircase breakout logic rather than a curving average. It tracks the highest highs and lowest lows over a specific lookback period to establish trend flips. Once a trend is confirmed, the trailing stop ratchets only in the direction of the trend to protect paper profits.
- Volatility Normalization: To account for market noise and "scam wicks," the indicator calculates a dynamic buffer using the Average True Range (ATR). This ensures the trailing stop maintains a distance proportional to current market volatility.
The system also integrates a Hull Moving Average (HMA), favored for its low lag and smoothness, to serve as a macro trend reference or a strict entry filter.
Settings
- Sensitivity (Lookback): Adjusts the lookback for the breakout logic. Lower values (e.g., 5) are faster for scalping, while higher values (e.g., 10) provide a smoother trend.
- Stop Deviation: Sets the ATR multiplier for the trailing stop distance. Higher values provide more "breathing room" for price action.
- Show HMA Line?: Toggles the visibility of the Hull Moving Average on the chart.
- Use HMA as Filter?: When enabled, restricts signals to align with the HMA trend direction.
- HMA Length: Adjusts the period of the Hull Moving Average.
- Visuals: Allows customization of colors for bullish/bearish regimes and signal diamonds.
- Dashboard Customization: Controls the visibility, position, and size of the on-screen data panel.
