Neural Confluence Engine
May 17, 2026

The Neural Confluence Engine tool fuses eight independent technical factors into a single weighted directional strength score to identify high-probability trend reversals and continuations. It aggregates momentum, trend alignment, VWAP position, RSI regime, MACD acceleration, ADX power, volume confirmation, and squeeze states into a unified 0–100 scale for objective decision-making.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to navigate market trends using its multi-factor scoring system. Traders can utilize the indicator for both entry signals and active trade management.
- Signal Tiers: The script generates two distinct signal types. Standard signals (BUY/SELL) trigger on EMA ribbon flips for sensitive trend-following. High-confluence signals (BUY+/SELL+) require the directional score to exceed a user-defined threshold (default 60) and must align with the higher-timeframe trend.
- Volatility Squeezes: The engine identifies Bollinger Band compression within Keltner Channels. A diamond marker (⚡) appears when the squeeze releases, indicating a potential momentum breakout.
- Trade Management: Upon a signal, the tool calculates ATR-based Stop Loss and three Take Profit targets. If "Activate Trailing SL after TP1" is enabled, the stop loss ratchets to breakeven at TP1 and follows subsequent targets to lock in gains.
- Dashboard Interpretation: The real-time dashboard displays individual factor contributions, current bias, and higher-timeframe alignment, allowing traders to verify the strength behind any specific signal.
Details
The Neural Confluence Engine operates on a weighted composite model where different technical elements are assigned specific weights based on their impact:
- WaveTrend Momentum (Weight 1.5): Evaluates oversold/overbought reversals.
- EMA Alignment (Weight 1.3): Checks for triple alignment of Fast, Slow, and Baseline EMAs.
- Squeeze State (Weight 1.2): Monitors volatility compression and releases.
- VWAP & Volume (Weight 1.0 each): Confirms price relative to volume-weighted averages and relative volume spikes.
- RSI & MACD (Weight 0.8 each): Assesses trend regime and histogram acceleration.
- ADX (Weight 0.7): Measures the underlying strength of the current trend.
The scores are smoothed with a 3-bar EMA to filter out single-bar noise. For higher-timeframe (HTF) filtering, the script uses an auto-detection logic (e.g., 1H chart looks at 4H HTF) to ensure trade direction aligns with the broader market structure.
Settings
- Min Confluence Score: The minimum threshold (20–95) required to trigger a BUY+ or SELL+ signal.
- Enable HTF Trend Filter: Toggles the requirement for the signal to match the higher-timeframe EMA trend.
- HTF Timeframe: Sets the specific timeframe for the trend filter; defaults to an automatic selection if left blank.
- Trend Structure (Fast/Slow/Baseline EMA): Adjusts the periods for the EMA stack used in scoring and signal generation.
- SL ATR Multiplier: Determines the distance of the initial stop loss based on market volatility.
- TP R:R (1, 2, 3): Sets the risk-reward ratios for the three take-profit targets.
- Activate Trailing SL after TP1: Enables the tiered trailing stop logic that moves with price after the first target is hit.
FAQ
How do I interpret the Confluence Score? The score represents the percentage of bullish vs. bearish factors currently aligned. A score above 60 indicates strong confluence, while scores near 50 suggest a neutral or ranging market.
Does this indicator repaint? No, all signals (BUY, SELL, TP/SL hits) are evaluated on the close of the bar and do not repaint. The higher-timeframe data uses non-repainting security calls.
