RSI MTF Panel
Oct 22, 2023

The RSI MTF Panel indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe overview of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) within a customizable dashboard. This tool allows traders to monitor RSI values across up to 10 different timeframes simultaneously, enabling better identification of trend alignment and overbought/oversold conditions from a single chart view.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to monitor market sentiment across multiple horizons. By viewing RSI values from higher and lower timeframes at once, traders can confirm if a local price move is supported by broader market momentum.
- Trend Confirmation: When multiple timeframes show RSI values in the "Uptrend" or "Overbought" zones, it suggests strong bullish momentum.
- Divergence Spotting: If a lower timeframe is overbought while a higher timeframe remains in a neutral or downtrend zone, it may signal a temporary retracement rather than a full trend reversal.
- Customization: The panel can be oriented vertically or horizontally and placed in any of the nine standard chart positions to avoid overlapping with other drawing tools or indicators.
Details
The indicator utilizes the request.security function to fetch RSI data from the user-defined timeframes. The Relative Strength Index is calculated using a standard methodology, but this script adds a visual layer by color-coding the background of each cell based on specific threshold levels.
The color logic follows a 5-tier system:
- Overbought: RSI ≥ Overbought Threshold.
- Uptrend: RSI ≥ Uptrend Threshold.
- No Trend: RSI between Uptrend and Downtrend thresholds.
- Downtrend: RSI ≤ Downtrend Threshold.
- Oversold: RSI ≤ Oversold Threshold.
The script also includes built-in alert conditions that trigger when the RSI on any enabled timeframe crosses these key thresholds.

FAQ
How do I interpret the colors in the panel?
The colors are determined by your threshold settings. By default, green represents bullish momentum (Uptrend/Overbought), red represents bearish momentum (Downtrend/Oversold), and blue represents a neutral state (No Trend).
Can I track more than 10 timeframes?
Currently, the script supports up to 10 concurrent timeframes. You can disable any slots you do not need to keep the panel compact.
