The Multi Fibonacci Supertrend with Signals indicator is a technical analysis tool that overlays three distinct Supertrend levels based on Fibonacci ratios to help traders identify trend direction, potential pullbacks, and confirmation signals. By utilizing multiple volatility-based layers, it provides a comprehensive view of trend strength and market structure.

Usage

The tool can be used to identify trend continuation and exhaustion points across various timeframes. The three layers represent different tiers of trend sensitivity:

  • Factor 1 (Weak): Uses the 0.618 golden ratio for highly sensitive trend tracking.
  • Factor 2 (Medium): Uses the 1.618 ratio to identify primary trend boundaries and potential pullback entries.
  • Factor 3 (Strong): Uses the 2.618 extension ratio to determine the dominant market trend.

Signal Generation:

  • BUY Signal: Occurs when the price crosses under the Medium Supertrend (Factor 2) while the Strong Supertrend (Factor 3) remains in a bullish state. This identifies potential buying opportunities during pullbacks in an uptrend.
  • SELL Signal: Occurs when the price crosses over the Medium Supertrend (Factor 2) while the Strong Supertrend (Factor 3) remains in a bearish state. This identifies potential selling opportunities during rallies in a downtrend.

Details

The script calculates three Supertrend values simultaneously using a shared ATR Period but differing multipliers derived from the Fibonacci sequence. The multi-layered approach acts as a filtering mechanism; signals are only generated when the shortest-term price action aligns with the medium-term level while being confirmed by the longest-term trend (Factor 3). This helps reduce noise often found in single-multiplier Supertrend applications. The visual gradients provide a heatmap of trend strength, where overlapping bullish/bearish zones indicate high-conviction trends.

Settings

Main Settings

  • ATR Length: The lookback period used for the Average True Range calculation, affecting the sensitivity and "tightness" of all three Supertrend levels.
  • Factor 1 (Weak): The multiplier for the most sensitive Supertrend layer (default 0.618).
  • Factor 2 (Medium): The multiplier used for signal crossover logic and the middle trend layer (default 1.618).
  • Factor 3 (Strong): The multiplier used for the trend confirmation filter and the outer trend layer (default 2.618).

FAQ

How do I use the signals effectively?

Signals are best used as pullback entries within an established trend. Ensure the Strong Supertrend (Factor 3) color matches your intended trade direction before entering.

What markets is this suitable for?

While optimized for volatile markets like Cryptocurrency (BTC/ETH), it can be used on any asset. Users should adjust the ATR and Factor settings to match the specific volatility of the instrument being traded.
