The MTF Screener MA Cross System indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe analytical framework that combines moving average crossover logic with advanced risk modeling and a multi-symbol monitoring dashboard.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on the flexible crossover configurations and the integrated monitoring tools. Users can select from three different "Cross Modes" (Fast, Medium, or Slow) to determine which moving average relationships trigger signals. For example, selecting "Fast" mode evaluates the relationship between the Fast EMA and Medium EMA.

The script also features a "Higher Timeframe Filter" which ensures that crossover signals are only considered valid when they align with the trend of a specified higher timeframe. This helps in filtering out noise during consolidation periods.

Key visual elements include:

  • Gradient Wave: A layered visualization that shows the positional relationship between three moving averages (Fast EMA, Medium EMA, and Slow HMA).
  • Screener: Monitors up to 10 customizable symbols and timeframes, providing a real-time alignment score.
  • Performance Dashboard: Displays historical backtest metrics such as Win Rate, Profit Factor, and Maximum Drawdown directly on the chart.

Details

The system is architected around three specific moving averages: a Fast EMA, a Medium EMA, and a Slow HMA. The core logic relies on the interaction between these three lines to define market structure.

The strategy includes two distinct risk modeling approaches:

  1. Percentage-based: Uses fixed percentages for stop-loss and take-profit levels.
  2. ATR-based: Utilizes the Average True Range to set volatility-adjusted exit levels, allowing for wider stops in high-volatility environments and tighter stops during low-volatility periods.

Additionally, the trade management module supports advanced features like Break-even triggers, partial position closing, and ATR-based trailing stops to simulate realistic trading scenarios.
