The RSI Multi Alerts MTF tool monitors the Relative Strength Index (RSI) across multiple symbols and timeframes simultaneously, providing a centralized alert system for overbought and oversold conditions. It is designed to streamline market scanning by consolidating RSI data from various assets into a single monitoring interface.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to monitor multiple assets without needing dozens of open charts.

To use the indicator:

  1. Add the indicator to your chart.
  2. Open the settings to configure your desired symbols (up to 10) and timeframes (up to 4).
  3. Define your RSI overbought and oversold thresholds.
  4. Enable the "Show Table" option to see a real-time visual representation of current RSI values across your selection.
  5. Set an alert on the indicator using the TradingView alert dialogue to receive notifications when the specified conditions are met.

Details

This script utilizes request.security() to fetch data from different symbols and timeframes. It tracks the state of the RSI for each combination to ensure alerts are triggered correctly based on user preferences.

  • Alert Reset Logic: The script includes a buffer system to prevent repetitive alerts. Users can define a "Buffer for Alert Reset" which requires the RSI to return to a neutral zone before a new alert can be triggered for that specific symbol/timeframe.
  • Return-to-Range Alerts: A specific setting allows users to receive alerts only when the RSI exits an overbought or oversold zone and returns into the neutral range, rather than when it first enters the extreme level.
  • Data Constraints: Due to platform limitations on the number of security calls, the script is optimized to handle a matrix of 10 symbols and 4 timeframes.

Settings

Symbols

  • Symbol 1-10: Select the specific assets you wish to monitor. Use the checkbox next to each to enable or disable monitoring for that slot.

Timeframes

  • Timeframe 1-4: Select the intervals for RSI calculation (e.g., 15m, 1h, 4h, 1D). Each can be toggled on or off.

RSI Configuration

  • RSI Length: The period used for the RSI calculation (standard is 14).
  • Overbought: The upper threshold for RSI alerts (e.g., 70).
  • Oversold: The lower threshold for RSI alerts (e.g., 30).

Alert Logic

  • Buffer for Alert Reset: The margin (in RSI points) required for the RSI to be considered "back in range" to reset the alert trigger.
  • Alert only when RSI returns into defined range: If enabled, the alert triggers when the price leaves the extreme zone rather than entering it.
  • Only trigger alert at bar close: Determines if the condition is checked in real-time or only upon the close of the candle.

Table

  • Show Table: Toggles the visibility of the on-screen dashboard.
  • Table Position: Allows you to move the dashboard to different corners of the chart.
