Interest Rate and GDP Dashboard
Dec 6, 2023

The Interest Rate and GDP Dashboard indicator provides traders with real-time insights into Interest Rates and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from the world's major central banks. It aims to help analysts understand global risk-on and risk-off environments across different currencies and asset classes by visualizing key macroeconomic data directly on the chart.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on monitoring the global financial landscape through a centralized dashboard and on-chart visual aids.
- Dashboard Visualization: The tool displays live interest rates, the most recent rate changes, and GDP figures for Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
- Forex Context: When applied to a Forex pair, the dashboard can dynamically filter to show only relevant interest rate differentials, aiding in the determination of long-term bias.
- Historical Analysis: Use the "Interest Change Labels" to pinpoint historical rate hikes or cuts. Hovering over these labels provides a tooltip with the specific percentage change.
- Sentiment Marking: Enable "Interest Change Lines" to plot vertical lines at every rate change event, helping to identify shifts in global financial sentiment over time.
Details
This tool leverages the concept of Interest Rate Differentials, a fundamental factor used in institutional trading to gauge currency strength. By understanding the spread between two central banks' rates, traders can align their strategies with higher-timeframe narratives. The script also integrates GDP data to provide a broader economic context. Historical events are marked using TradingView's drawing capabilities (labels and lines) to visualize the relationship between price action and central bank policy shifts.

FAQ
How do I access the Interest Rate and GDP Dashboard?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
Can I use this for non-Forex symbols?
Yes, if the symbol is not a Forex pair, the dashboard will default to showing all available central bank data rather than a specific differential.
Why do I see horizontal lines when enabling change lines?
This is a minor rendering limitation in Pine Script; if this occurs, scrolling to the far left of your chart history will typically resolve the visual alignment.
