The Dashboard With Strength Trend & Phase Market indicator provides a comprehensive multi-timeframe overview of market conditions, combining momentum, trend strength, and economic event data into a single visual interface. It serves as a centralized hub to monitor MACD-V signals, Moving Average crossovers, and market phases across different periods.

Usage

The dashboard is designed to streamline market analysis by presenting various technical metrics in a grid format. Traders can use it to:

  • Monitor Trend Strength: View the relationship between current price and EMA periods to identify bullish or bearish shifts.
  • Identify Market Phases: The indicator classifies the market into phases such as Accumulation, Running Up, Re-Accumulation, Distribution, and Re-Distribution based on price position relative to two Moving Averages.
  • Track MACD-V Signals: Observe Volatility-Adjusted MACD (MACD-V) states, which include specific conditions like "Buy G0", "Retest", "Sideway", and "Wait Continue/Reversal".
  • Economic Integration: Visualize key US economic events (FOMC, CPI, NFP, etc.) directly on the chart as vertical lines to correlate price action with fundamental data.

Details

The script utilizes a Volatility-Adjusted MACD (MACD-V), which normalizes the standard MACD calculation by dividing it by the Average True Range (ATR). This helps in assessing momentum relative to current market volatility. The "Phase" logic is based on the interaction between the close price, a short-term MA (default 50), and a long-term MA (default 200), providing a structured view of the Wyckoff-style market cycle. Additionally, the tool integrates an economic calendar to mark high-impact news events.

FAQ

How do I interpret the "Momentum" column?

The Momentum column categorizes the market into phases. For example, "Running Up" indicates a strong bullish trend where price and the short MA are both above the long MA, while "Distribution" suggests a potential trend reversal.

What is MACD-V?

MACD-V stands for Volatility-Adjusted MACD. Unlike the standard MACD, it scales the difference between the fast and slow averages by the ATR, making the momentum readings more comparable across different volatility regimes.
