EmperorBTC's VWAP Indicator
May 5, 2021

The EmperorBTC's VWAP Indicator tool provides a comprehensive technical analysis framework designed to identify potential trend reversals and entry opportunities by combining Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP), Pivot Points, and Stochastic RSI. It streamlines the detection of specific price action conditions across multiple indicators to highlight high-probability long and short setups.
Usage
The indicator is optimized for lower timeframes such as the 5-minute, 15-minute, and 30-minute charts. It plots entry signals based on a confluence of three primary factors:
- Pivot Point Interaction: The script monitors if the price has interacted with or crossed key support, resistance, or the central pivot level.
- VWAP & Price Alignment: It identifies bullish or bearish crossovers between the price (OHLC4) and the VWAP line.
- Stochastic RSI Momentum: The tool looks for crossovers in the Stochastic RSI to confirm momentum shifts.
A "Long" signal is generated when a Pivot Point is crossed upward, a bullish VWAP/StochRSI crossover occurs in the current or previous candle, and the candle color confirms bullish sentiment. "Short" signals follow a similar logic in reverse. Users can toggle the visibility of individual components like Pivot Point levels, the VWAP line, and specific crossover shapes to declutter their workspace.
Details
The indicator calculates Pivot Points using either Fibonacci or Traditional methods based on daily data. The VWAP is calculated cumulatively over a user-defined period (defaulting to Daily) to provide a dynamic anchor point for price value. The Stochastic RSI component adds a second layer of confirmation by measuring the RSI relative to its high-low range over a specific period, smoothed by moving averages to filter out minor noise.
