Black Tie Fibonacci OTE MTF
May 1, 2026

The Black Tie Fibonacci OTE MTF indicator provides multi-timeframe Fibonacci retracement levels with automated Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) zone highlighting to identify high-probability reversal areas.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify potential trade entries based on institutional pullback zones. The tool automatically detects the bias of the previous closed higher timeframe (HTF) candle to project levels. For a bullish HTF candle, retracements are measured downward from the high; for a bearish HTF candle, they are measured upward from the low.
- Pullback Entries: Traders can use the OTE zone (0.618 - 0.786) as a primary entry area when price aligns with the HTF trend direction.
- Mean-Reversion: An aggressive rejection of the OTE zone, characterized by long wicks, may signal a mean-reversion move in the opposite direction.
- Targeting: The HTF High and Low lines act as primary liquidity targets for profit-taking or stop-loss placement.
Details
The script calculates Fibonacci levels based on the range of the most recently closed candle from a user-defined higher timeframe. The core concept revolves around the Optimal Trade Entry, which represents the deepest acceptable pullback before a trend continuation setup is considered invalidated.
The key levels included are:
- 0.236 / 0.382: Shallow retracements indicating strong trend momentum.
- 0.500: The equilibrium point or mid-point of the HTF range.
- 0.618: The top of the OTE zone and a primary pullback target.
- 0.786: The bottom of the OTE zone, representing the maximum threshold for a valid pullback.

FAQ
How do I interpret the OTE zone? The OTE zone is the area between the 0.618 and 0.786 retracement levels. It is considered the optimal area for entering trades in the direction of the higher timeframe trend, as it offers a favorable risk-to-reward ratio.
Which timeframe should I use for the Reference Timeframe setting? It depends on your trading style. Intraday traders typically use the Daily (D) timeframe, swing traders use the Weekly (W), and position traders use the Monthly (M).
